The front and rear bumper splitters were about 2" too short. I cut them them in half and had a friend hold both halves in place with a gap in the middle. While he held them in place I hot glued some thin, small sticks to each side so when removed I knew exactly how much gap needed to be filled. I used clay to form a surface on the outside of the splitter with foil between the clay and the surface then filled the gap with fiberglass from the inside. I removed the sticks, foil clay and there it was, a perfect fitted bumper splitter. I sanded down the fiberglass, finished off the surface with some polyester filler, sanded to match the lines and painted them.

Getting the side skirts on was a bit of a challenge, they simply were not made to fit a convertible. I used self tapping screws on the under side, that part was simple enough. I tried using trim tape on the top side but there just wasn't enough surface area so the skirts pulled back exposing a large gap. I wound up using 5 minute epoxy and did one section at a time. Because they wanted to spring outward I had to hold each section in place until the epoxy set up. I finished them off by caulking the small gap and used a wet finger to get a nice smooth edge, it's hard to tell where the skirt meets the body. A little touch up paint using an airbrush and the literally look seemless.

Thanks! Your right, the verts do get a bad rap. Good thinking about the thread. I have a lot of progress pics as I did all the fiberglass work on the splitters and spoiler, they are interesting.
