"I don't have a water T or a sandwich plate though?" Cheap get it from Jonv82.... This guage set "http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Performance/Gauges/auction-244957052.htm" Plate ($40) "http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Performance/Gauges/auction-244788279.htm" 4/3 UNF for our car. Water T ($24.99) "http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Car-parts-accessories/Performance/Gauges/auction-244889292.htm" get the gold or red I have the blue 30mm and it's a bit on the small side but not leakin but the gold 32mm or red 34mm would be better. Guages and holder cost me $9 x 3 for cups and $58 x 3 for the guages - They are not doing any thing now so for a layout of about $70 (+ new filter) you can use them. I will not ask for them back as I like the ones I have now. :-) |

Yes I'm loving my guages..... Got a complement about them from VTNZ when I woffed my Car on the week end. My stock water temp is on the block and the After market is on the Radiato Pipe so they are out of sync untill the thermostat opens. With the guages showing me tempratures I do not hit the gas pedal hard untill I have at least 60 on the oil temp. Come on over this week end to have a look. PS. I have the 52mm guages that I first installed if you are intrested (With your turbo you should have these guages) You will have to look at getting http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-239519305.htm and http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-240593491.htm These are what I've used and I installed in about 2 houres (Good clen looks OEM instalation - I'll be putting up photos soon) |

I have changed my Gauages again for better looking ones. The 3 new guages New Water Temp Guage New Oil Temp Guage New Oil Press guage (Not in PSI nor Bar but in Kg/cm2) [1 kilogram-force/square centimeter = 14.223 343 334 pound/square inch] Now and this is interesting for me and possably others out their wiht the same guages (Water temp, Oil, Temp and Oil Press) can confirm this. My Oil Press workes well being high on start up (6 to 7 on my guage [85 to 99 PSI] but when the engin is hot is is aroun 1 [14 PSI] The Water temprature is a lot faster that the oil temp with the oil only getting to 100 C at the end of 20 to 30 minutes of driving. On my guages the water temp varies from 87.5 to 92.5 C and so far the highest reading on the oil is 100 C Any one want to compare reading with me? Hay deluzions call me abou my old guages as well as changing your Air Con units (I'll even do them in read well blue ones for the cold part of the temp setting) |

Latest Updates....... Aftermarket Oil Press, Oil Temp and Water Temp Guages Unfortinatly they are only in White but I'm looking into changing to blue. Now a lot of People will go "What a wast his engine is stock" BUT I love my Guages and have been wanting to get these for a long time. I have fond out that on my daily trip to work and back only in the last 5 - 10% is my oil temprature in the correct place (90 to 95 Dec C). So now I know when to floor the accelareter and when not to. In the next few days I'll poost more pictures of the sender units. (Something I was looking for before I installed) |

I got the LED's from Dick Smith Electronis in New Zealand "http://www.dse.co.nz/dse.shop/4a90fa2d012d28b6273fc0a87f3b06b5/Product/View/Z4282" have a look. I Driled 2 places in the Dome and inserted the LED's, made the drill just a little bit smaller so thay are james in. I then ran the wiere down the left A-Piller and under the dash to give me the blue lighting on the floor. I teh joined it to the Return wire for the Light in the door, so now it comes on when I open the door. PS I also put a switch in the circuit so I could turn it off when working on the car or if I thought it would cause a probled (6 Monthy WOF - Warrent of Fitness in NZ) Hope this help unfortinatly it was rather late when I got to splicing into the door circuits so I have no photos. If you hve any questions just give me a shout. |

HI Have a look at my thread for more information but I used the brightest LED's and then filterd them through Gels to get the correct look I left the full speed fan LED un filterd and you can see the difference. This is way to bright in day light never mind at night but I usualy use the system on auto and having this so bright reminds me that I'm not using the auto settings |

Hey man, Can you do my (2x) CC units? PS. All the bulbs are burnt out in mine, however I don't think it's the bulbs, since they went out in rows? 1st the bottom row, then the middle row, now everything. I finally finished the cold air intake on the SS-III Celica, man it goes so hard! I'm getting my exhaust redone and my wastegate actuator sorted on Wednesday. I like 18psi but it's a little more useful at 7000rpm as opposed to 5000rpm when its got a fuel cut Long time no see mate.... How is the boot and fuel release going (Still love playing with the new switches I installed ) If you can drop one off and do with out if for about 2 weeks I can do it (over worked at work BUT hay I have a job so not all bad ) I can then re work all the LED's and do a better job of the Temp scale. Still got to take the GT4 out for a decent spin.... soon |
