I really wanted to run the power fc. I could not find any for sale. I searched for over a month then gave up. In the end I settled for the piggy back unichip. This gained me about 3hp pritty poor really. I must admit the car is alot more responsive. I dont believe it was worth the 550 pound it cost.
Will the power fc be better than the unichip?

Yes im still running stock intercooler, i have been led to belive its good for 400bhp
The brake lines and calipers are standard but im running fast road / race pads. They are doing a good job at the minute.
tyres are bridgestones, these seem ok but im sure I need to go wider. The car has a tendancey to step out and it can be very hard to get it back. Im thinking of trying 225 50 R 16 instead of the current 215 50 16 this will be on a seperate budget if i do.

Im looking for engine mods really. Forged is a good idea but i just dont have the budget.

Am i likely too see much hadling improvement with coilovers? sorry if this is a dumb question

Hi people
my gt4 is lightly moded and running 333bhp at thd fly. I would like to know the best way forward spending 800 - 1000 pounds.
Current mods are as follows
blitz electronic boost controller 1.1 bar
pigy back unichip ( made no dam differance)
high flow panel filter and resinator box removed
vsv disabled
bailey dump valve
light weight alloy rad only because the standard one split
organic clutch
blitz nur spec r exhaust
aussie down pipe.

I have been thinking about a hybrid turbo. I know very little what is best, im open to opinion. Would I also need to upgrade the fuel pump if I went down this route?

im not looking for huge power. something with a fair amount of power but reliable

any ideas

Hi.

I've had my st205 for 2 years and i have just started to notice a stutter when acceleration.
I have got a Blitz sbc id boost controller set to 15psi.I can feel a stutter under hard acceleration and it's also evident but not as bad when accelerating slowly. What seems to happen is,as the boost rises at around 2500rpm the acceleration drops off for less than a second and then it comes back and it accelerates hard. Any idea's?

I'm not sure if the 2 problems are related but the other night when i was driving i opened the car up in 3rd, the car was around 5000 revs and the car completely dropped off.For a second i thought it was stuffed however it came straight back up again. It was like the fuel cut defender had cut in, however there was no error codes and the boost controller had not gone passed the previous peak of 15.2psi.

No need for any kind of professional to adjust a boost controler.
Have you tried reading the owners manual?

Gain is the response of the turbo. Too much gain will cause boost spikes, not enough gain will cause boost creep.
Try playing around with that until the boost stabilizes.

Thanks for the info,i will have a play round with it later.

Hello donna

I think you should ask a professional to do this for you.
You are using ST205 standard ECU or aftermarket?

It was fitted by Millway in Andover,if you had heard of them.So it was done professionaly.
I think the ECU is the ST205 standard one.

Hi all

Can anyone tell me how to set up a Blitz SBC-ID single solenoid?

I had mine installed yesterday into my st205.The person that installed it has set it up roughly with the following settings:

Gain 5
Boost pressure 15 psi
Warning limiter 16psi with a limit of 8

This all seemed well and good and i was getting a steady boost of 14.7 psi.I decided to give it a bit of beef and the boost pressure held upto 4 gear but when i put it in 5 gear i felt a big surge of power and then it dropped straight of(which scared the hell out of me lol). The controller went into limit mode because the boost had risen to 20.4 psi, should this of happened?

I would be greatful of any advice as i am completly new to all of this.

The car i have is a 96 st205,standard internals.No other major mods
