it's one of the 2500 WRC (real one confirmed by VIN in Japan) and White are hard to find

I paid 10k for the car last years in Japan (i do all the process to import the car by my-self)

Over 3k of duty, transport, (Osaka (Japan) to Montreal was 9k for 4 car on overseas), unload, broker etc

and check the list of mods a put in the engine it's more then 4k (just in parts) forget the time.....

so i'm lost money at 14,5k.... if i have the chance i will keep it, i don't sell because something wrong with the car.

This post is for a JDM GT-four so check the regulation in your place before purchase

This is the list of mods on my car because last year i got fire in the engine bay.
The reason : bad compression on piston 4 (50psi) so the oil dip stick pop out and the oil go on the turbo
oil + heat = fire

so i fully rebuilt the engine

Wiseco forged piston with side coating ,05 oversize 9:1

on the top left side of the winshield you see sticker, red rond one, this is the inspection date in japan.... for the shaken test, so the guy put a JDM winshield ???

nice find,

i own a 1990 300 zx twin turbo t-top until last year, (the car was totaled, someone hit me on the rear when a was stop a light), it's a great car, really fun to drive, but the interior was ugly, the carpet

the engine was realiable for a 20 year old engine , but you have no space to work, check all the rubber under the hood and all the electrical connection, the engine was VERY hot

This car was not inspected here in Québec...so noboby can drive it, in Québec, but outside, like ontario or some wher elese in Canada it's ok ...

and yes it's a real WRC, a see this car in reel last week, need part for my firend 1992 celica RC, look like to be in good shape....but do some inspection before, some bad experience with japan import here in Montréal...

and the mr2, i'm thing is because of the vin, the vin on ebay was not the vin of the celica, the real vin suppose to be like st205-000xxxx, japan have different vin..

i got one st-205, and i'm waiting until the end of October to decide if i change the steering side or i sold to someone else..... i'm living in Montréal area

they cost me about 12k$ CAD, i do all the process by my self ( purchase, import, etc etc), i want specific model...white , no roof, with abs, with 8 speaker radio, and a real wrc....so i doo all the stuff

to answer the question.... if you try to regist yours car, the SAAQ ask you if the steering was on the left or the right side... so answer left and do the conversion will be a option, since they ask you to have a mecanic evaluation of the car anyway before put on the road.....but i hope drive it with the steering on the right side.... until this i doo all the process to be legal, (front and rear reflector on side, DOT headlamp, sw on the clutch, DRL, DOT tires etc etc...)

p.s. mine is here now is on my driveway....and it's hard to see the car evrey morning and don't drive it...

for those don't know, the Quebec ban new comming RHD from the road, effective date 29 april 2009 ( the one already on the road keep is right) this thing is for 180 days.... after nobody know...

i got the same troubles, my car ( Celica st-205 WRC edition) was on the boat, suppose to be here on july and i don't want them to be cut or modify to be lhd....but if a have no choise..

good luck and keep us inform if you do the conversion....maybe i have to do the same project....
