No one???? I know it seems like a straight forward easy thing, but for some reason after removing the single screw, it seems like something else is catching somewhere. Was just wondering. |

Well I know this should be easy, and have done on other cars, but having some trouble getting the dome cover off. I have a 95 gt with a moonroof and there is just one screw to take out. I can gently pry the left side a bit, but I would have to pull really hard to get it to come loose, and I don't want to break anything. Is this common or am I missing something here. I know pretty lame, but just playing it safe. Thanks |

So I need to replace the battery in my 95 GT, and would like to get a nice aluminum tie down bar. I have a 35 series battery that fits perfectly in the stock tray/and box. Looking online and measuring the stock tie down bar from hole to hole it seems like none of them are the size I need. They are all measured in cm from what I can tell and my battery measures in at approx. 7 inches wide. When I do the inches to cm comparison none of the ones offered online match up. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. |
Yep, those are what you use. [/quote Thanks! . Was just wondering cuz I am sure those clips are in there pretty good, and was not sure if the plastic pry tool would be strong enough. |

How about using the nylon or plastic pry tools that are also used for removing door panels to pop these clips out? |
I noticed the same too, seems like the Celica parts aftermarket is getting even smaller. All I found on eBay is the link posted above, but they looked heavily worn and would need some work to be useable. [/quote I am pretty sure I looked at the same ones. Like you said it seems like aftermarket parts, especially the 6th gen. Are scant now. It deserves better:) |

I use to see both fiberglass and carbon fiber riser blocks on eBay, but none for some time now. Anyone know where to find these anymore? Also, do they utilize all pre-existing holes, (match up)? Thanks |

When I have the time I am going to go ahead and take down the insulation. I want to replace it with a adhesive type pad just for the sake of the concern about extra heat to the hood/paint issue. Really only going to focus on the center of the hood anyway for now. What recommendations do others have, or is my best best Damplifier? Want as thin as possible to detract from anything being a lure for the darn mice again. Thanks again everybody. |

Okay, how about options for good quality vinyl kits that offer custom designs that might hide this area a little? Otherwise pretty sure body shop won't be able to get out very well anyway. |

I need to start thinking about replacing the oem stereo and speakers in my 95 Celica. Everything is stock original as far as I know, and amazed it has lasted this long, but it's slowly failing. I have looked for the answer in other sites, but nothing concrete about speaker sizes needed and head unit/shelf options. Mine has the sub, and mid in the door with the mini tweet below the mirror. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

So my Celica is in pretty good shape for its age, but want to make it look the best it can. There are some nasty dings that run right along the drivers side rear wheel well. I am wondering if anyone knows of any molding or even magnetic trim that you could get to go around the wheel well like a fender flare almost as far as coverage, only flat. It is going to need to be approx 4-5 inches wide all around. I highly doubt that even the best pdr person could get these out as they are in the thicker rolled area. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! |

So back in Nov a family of mice moved into the insulation under the hood. The car was in storage for a short time with a cover on it. Next time I took the car cover off and propped the hood, I noticed something move to the back corner. I tapped the insulation, and the mice started to drop out, and one even came out the front of the hood and jumped over my shoulder. They did no chew up to much of the insulation, but the pee smell is still really strong in the lining itself. I now leave the hood up all the time and have taken a lot of measures to keep them out. I want to just axe the insulation piece all together. Wondering if it really would hurt to take out and leave out. I hate mice! Thanks |

Let's face it the 6gc is a really nice looking car that just does not have the stock hp to match its looks..in my opinion anyway. I think the reason why a lot of us want to make our 6gc's faster is that it's just a nice car to want to do it with, and also so many people say why bother, or just say flat out that it can't be done. That's just fuel to the fire that spurs us on. Just saying, could be wrong. |

urself, if you have the tools. try using google, and call each shop. midwest is a big place, where are u located. Don't have the tools, or a lot of the knowledge needed, but eager to learn. Would be great if I knew someone near where I live that was doing this to theirs, and I could help out and learn at the same time. |

Really bummed now because I was all excited about having Dr. Tweak do an engine swap on my 95 GT. I was going to go with a 4th gen Caldina. Found out the he/they no longer do engine swaps at all, and are only focusing on wiring harnesses. That being said, does anyone know of a really good, respectable swap shop specifically in upper Midwest if need be. I would love to learn how to do all of this myself, but I have none of the necessary lifts, etc., and really no garage in which to do it. Thanks in advance. |

I am thinking about doing an engine swap on my 95 GT. I really like the car, and it is in pretty decent condition overall with really no rust. I have read in other forums that the 3rd gen. 3sgte is better in the long run if I want to get a lot more horses and more mods, etc, but that the 4th gen. is better if a person just wants to leave as is, because adding a bigger turbo, etc. is more difficult. I was going to sell the car and look into getting a Starion/Conquest, or modded Prelude, but I just can't seem to part with my Celica. Thanks. |

okay, so maybe someone can answer this then. If the bolt tightens down even somewhat before stripping, and leave it at that point, do I even need to worry about replacing the grommet, or leave as is. I have it lined up pretty even, and do not want to have to remove the lights, etc. if I don't have to. Any thoughts please let me know. |
