They'll see it's a Celica, they'll see it's a turbo charged engine, they'll see that that year Celica never came with a turbo charged engine and FAIL.

no its doesnt work that way.

if his car is a 94 and he can get a 94/95 MR2 turbo ( if they came to the US, I thought MR2's were stopped in 93 in the US) then that would be legal. But it has to be a 94 or 95 USDM MR2.

its just like putting a 97 2JZ-GTE in a 94 SC300. the engine is newer than the car that its going into.

My car is a 94. So it should be CARB and smog legal if I use a California spec 3sgte or install EGR on a JDM 3sgte?? There is a place in Chico that does the EGR installation on JDM 3sgte's.

I am looking for an auto shifter assembly. Apparently the one I have in my ST was taken apart and has some make shift parts to make it work and has a snapper O/D wire. If anyone knows where I can get one or has one for sale I would greatly appreciate it.

Any updates on the weld in kit? Or is it possible we can pay to order since all of the files are saved?

California spec mr2 3sgte engine would work here in California I also know of people who have used jam 3sgte motors and drilled them for the egr so they would pass the visual. Basically retrofitting the jdm engines with the usdm goodies to pass all the inspections here.

Thank you for the assistance. My mechanic/friend is helping me with everything so he has all the accessible tools to make this happen. I know it's not a direct swap but my reason for going this route is to utilize the power the way it should be. If I can utilize a CA spec 3sgte, with the E154, and the correct rear end I feel I will be able to put more to the wheels and won't have to worry about wheel hop. I just want to make this car as enjoyable as possible without cutting corners.

Ok, I will be doing a 3sgte swap on my Celica this year. I have a 1994 ST AT200. The car will be getting a gt4 front end, 3sgte engine, and AWD conversion. Which is why I am here. I wanted to know what it takes to swap the rear end to make my car all wheel drive. I have searched and searched and only came across bits and pieces of information. Can anyone help?

The wheels vary in price depending on your choice of wheel and size and/or if you want a custom wheel. They are fairly cheap though you can easily cash out 280 for a set. As far as coilovers are concerned what is cheap? Cuz all I can find is 800 and up. That really is not cheap in my opinion.

Hi. I'm going to be purchasing some of these steele wheels soon. Basically re-barreled steelies. I was wondering if anyone here on 6gc had a set yet and any pics on a 6gc.

That doesn?t tell me the offset of the steelies to know what sized spacers I need though. I went through and searched already. Could't find the offset.

Hello, since I can not afford a nice set of wheels (at least the ones I want) I have decided to work with what I have. I want to paint my steelies and use spacers to aleveiate the "sucked in" look. My only question is what size wheel spacers would I need to be flush? Thanks for the help.

Hella flush is all about stance. It does nothing for performance unless you want to drift (if your on stretched tires.) Flush doesn't always mean your on stretched tires with a good amount of poke outside your fenders as some seem to think that's all it is. Basically the goal is to have your wheels flush with the fenders. Just wheels is not gonna get you the right stance though. you have to dump your car (preferably on bags) with the right camber and a good fender roll to achieve flush fitment. I'm working on it with my 6gc. Its all personal preferance. I don't like the sucked in look to me it's unattractive. So I'm going for some deep dished goodness with streched tires and a lil poke. smile.gif to each his own

Check your cv joints to make sure they are fully locked into the tranny. I had the same problem and that was the case and while your at it change your tranny fluid.

So I came across a sweet deal. I found a guy selling racing hart staggered 3 pc c2 wheels. He only has 3 of the wheels though and he is letting them go for 250. Good buy, I think so. My only question is how hard would it be to find the fourth wheel? Thanks in advance

No I don't start it reving the engine and I use 81 octane. So it could plausibly be the quality of gas I'm putting in my car
