Ratcheting wrenches makes the job easier. But don't use them to 'break off' stubborn bolts, use a regular wrench instead then when it budges, use the ratchet especially on long bolts. T-wrenches are also nice for your tool collection.

Um...... You could always just undo the relay to the buttons. Remove the bolt, take off the switches assembly, unplug it and snap that switch assembly piece back and bolt it back up. BOOM!

Thanks! I was thinking of just pulling out a fuse or something (or maybe installing a hidden "kill switch") since I'll be turning it OFF and On a couple of times a week. What you suggested maybe just the easiest thing to do then. I'll do it later, and just leave it "inoperative" for a while. Thanks. wink.gif

Since we're on the topic sunroof here, might as well post my quick question here. Grasby, hope you don't mind me posting on your thread. wink.gif

My question is, does anybody know how NOT to make the sunroof work? biggrin.gif

I just want to temporary disable the sunroof switches since the kids have the habit of playing with it everytime they ride the Celica. I've looked for a separate fuse for the sunroof but couldn't find any. I'm guessing that it's tapped on the DOORS fuse, after some trial and error in removing fuses one at a time. I know I could just unplug the motor but I don't want to go thru the process of removing and putting the roofliner back on everytime. Too much hassle.

Hoping for your advise (quick fix) on this one. Thanks! thumbsup.gif

BTW - Does anybody have a wiring diagram/schematics of a 6GC?

Just to let you guys know... we are not sigle-ing out races here, although there's a thread created about 6gphilippines, please expose your selves to other threads. There are lots of good info and people here on this site. Please participate on other threads and not only on this. I say this as a proud filipino and I just noticed that most of our kababayans are lounging on this thread. So, in behalf of all my friends at 6gc, I would like to welcome you edm747 and other filipinos on the site. Mabuhay...

Thanks for the warm welcome Jeunesse. Yes, I will post/participate on the other threads here in 6gc. I just registered here a few days ago, and wanted to first read most of the previous threads so I won't be posting "double posts". wink.gif I chanced upon this thread and just thought I'd make my first post here to say "Kamusta" to you guys.
Cheers... Ride Safe! - Ed

I've been a Toyota driver since my first car; used to drive a 1st gen Celica, a 5th and a 6th gen 2DR Coronas (Macho), and a 7th gen Corona way back in highschool and early college years. Nowadays, I'm using a 10th gen Corona - ST191.

Hope to hear and learn from you guys here soon.
