I think what is happening is that as all of us car tuners growing up we tend to "upgrade" to what is available. As for revival of celica... we are going to see exactly what is it in just little bit. Tokyo motor show is just around the corner in october. I think.... well I know.. that if this little promotional concept car will turn out to be a sports dud then my next vehicle will be either evo9 or evo10. My 11 year commitment to toyota brand,,, and my parent's commitment to toyota brand is stretching thin. Bottom line is that people buy sports cars knowingly that they will be eating gas like crazy but deliver all the fun in the world. What car manufacturers need to do is keep producing sports cars but price them lower. Lets look at evo vs sti debacle. One costs 30 and one costs 40. Both vehicles are comparable but one comes out to $800/mo and another to about $500 and therefore you see far more sti's than evo's. If toyobaru was a all wheel drive bucket of fun priced at $400 per month I swear I would jump on that idea so fast its not even funny. toyota is like austin powers, its lost its mojo. |

Hense a RWD toyota version...... and from what ive read they will look different just share the same chassis..... so for those that wish to ... it would be quite possible to then turn the celica into a 4wd weapon......using the subaru gear.. as it's made for the same chassis....... massive plus for those in the modding business..... im aware of toyota owning i belive 18-20% of subaru, its just that id rather not see it happen even if its a celica. toyota has the full potential of building great sports cars on their own like the supra it was and still is a good true sports car. have they forgotten what it took to make the supra? toyota is a great powerful company that could easly make a better car than subaru, have the engineers/designers forget how they made gt4's/mr2's/supras? toyota has the experiance to create their own sports car. subaru should stick to awd its what they do best. i would not drive a subaru with a toyota badge. what about lexus they make great cars maybe toyota should look into stripping down and redesigning it. its a great base for a toyota sports car. plus the competition between companys is what truly improves a brand. were would the sti stand with out an evo, supura/rx7/3000gt/skyline they are all responses to one another the merging and cooperation of companies is good for business but bad for the cars, in the end there would be less sports cars offered, and it would dilute a companies full potential. |

i went to a dodge dealer today. theres three cars that catch my attention 1.the legacy(roomier than a wrx, feels more upscale too.) 2.a dodge 3500 turbo disel (just because I can, and im a plumber) its very confy and relaxing. 3.wrx (been a childhood dream!) |

i have the exact same problem i just used clear silicon to seal of the sunroof completely while i actually get the time to work on it. ohh and it made my car smell like piss since its effin hot right after it rains |

well i test drove the new subaru legacy and was wondering if anyone else had one. it was given to as a college present(since not alot of people from my hood do much after high school) but ever since i received the car it has been a huge money pit! so far in ashamed of it. the sunroof leaks, suspension has gone bad, bad fuel pump, and it goes on. but i have not given up on her yet. but i still have my eyes out for a STi. |
