I found this on another site.... BMR: "There are pickups in the distributor that provide that info to the ECU. IIRC, the CamPS mounts on the head, so you'd have to swap heads. The CrankPS, I'm not sure how it mounts. And I'm thinking the timing belt pulley on the crank has teeth for the CrankPS to read, so you need to swap that as well." deddy: "CrankPS mounts to the oil pump. Use the newer oil pump and the mount points will be present. You'll also have to use the newer crank gear, since it has the 'flat' needed by the Crank Position sensor. Also, you'll need to use the Cam back plate from the '99 that has the cutout for the Cam Pos Sensor." I think this is for a 96+? Ok, as a quick test I connected up the 95 ECU and the car stated and is running like a champ But, I know I'm going to have all types of emissions headaches being ODBI here in Maryland. I had this issue with the 97 Celica when I did the JDM 3SGTE swap. They have not bothered me in the 95. I'm guessing now because it is ODBI like the JDM ECU. Is there something simple I can do to use the 96 ECU so it will pass emissions and i can sell the car? |

Thank you for the quick posts. I forgot about that OBDI vs OBDII thing. Good catch. 96 engine: 95 engine: Ok, transferring over any OBDII specific parts.... 1. distributors - I guess I can just switch them? I have a 1995 5S motor that I put in a 1996 GT convert. Everything is hooked up but engine is not turning over. Its getting fuel but seems like its not getting spark. I noticed the 95 motor has a different distributor than the 96. The 96 has a 5th wire that connects a coil module located on the firewall but the 95 motor does not have a 5th wire. Not sure if that makes a difference. 1995: 1996: Thoughts? What could I have missed? http://s922.photobucket.com/user/docspeed1...rt=6&page=0 |

are the door jams and everything else painted like the exterior? What is the condition of paint and body? Can you put a vid of this running? Yes, door jams and everything else painted like the exterior. The body is great, no rust, and I had it just painted in the spring I will post those up tonight along with a video of the car running. |

I am selling a 1995 Celica GT w/ upgraded ST215 engine Swap. Car has 132,000 miles on body, about 30,000 on engine (I ordered the front clip). I spared no expense in doing the swap. Everything works after the swap including cold A/C, cruise control, and ABS. I upgraded the turbo to a S250 capable of 23 PSI. I only run 7PSI & 12PSI on the Greddy Profec B Spec-II. She is clean and runs GREAT!!! Please pm me or send me and email docspeed1997@gmail.com for detail info. I’m asking $9,500. |

For the GT four, any of the coilovers, I believe have to be cut and welded, unless you're buying Coilovers for the Superstrut Suspension. I believe Tien and TRD (Correct me if Im wrong) are the only companies that make Coilovers designed for superstrut, and are A) expensive as hell, and B) Very hard to find. If you're planning to run the Coilovers on your Gt or ST (as listed in your profile) that is running regular Macpherson style struts, then you won't need to do any welding, simply bolt in. Cool,The KYBs and Tien springs keep bouncing like crazy when I drive through the city. Especially on the real passenger side. I'm looking for a smoother ride. I want it like my old Celica when the ex-first drove it home from the dealer. I miss her; The car that is... And yes, I kept the car in the divorce!! |

So.... the bc coilovers have to be welded into lower part of superstrut arm? Do the Megans? I'm looking to get the Megans today. Don't want to buy ones that I have to weld in. |

Doesn't look that bad actually. I mean, besides the pricey gt4 front end exterior pieces, it looks like it would still easily be drivable. Any noticible frame damage or anything? I see your local, I've never seen this rolling around before though! There was frame damage and the insurance company quickly totaled it. I have been driving in it all around baltimore, 695, 795, and 83 for 14 years. The Ex-wifey bought the car new when she graduated from MSU back in '97. When i rebuilt it 4 years ago this was my first import. I have a bright yellow '93 Mustang Cobra. You might have seen me in that? But i plan to rebuild!! I will pull the engine and put in something else. |

I'll take 3 like last year. The shots I'll be using will largely be comprised of the Celica of the Month shots, except for those that aren't available at a large enough resolution to be suitably printed. Any supplemental shots being used will be shots that have been sent to me in the past 2 years by people who missed being in the calendar by a very close margin. There's quite a few, and honestly, some that from a professional standpoint, I think REALLY should have made it in! As for the cover shot, I haven't decided yet, but I'm kinda reserving the right to use a (quality) shot of my own car, since A) I'm makin' the thing, and B) no one will be subjected to stare at it for an entire month, should they object As for print - I'll have the calendar completed by the end of next week and will send it out for print the following Monday, and expect to have it available for shipping on December 1st. I'd REALLY like to get a better gauge of how many I should have printed! So in hopes of motivating some of you, I'm willing to extend the pre-order offer of $16 shipped anywhere in the US until I'm ready send the calendar out for print, on November 19th. Any takers? PayPal to mjgriff1@gmail.com, please include your name, screen name, and shipping address! |

I am looking at the emanage ultimate. Do you recommend the "FTC1 Fuel/Timing Calibrator"? http://www.splitsec.com/products/fuel-timingcalibrator.htm yes its another kind of piggy back. they should get more recognition than they do, easy to tune with and cheap |

LOL!! i love this site!! I don't have a FCD installed. I can use an st205 ECU and instead of the ST215 ECU? But if it's the ECU then I would look into a standalone or the new e-manage. i think you need 17psi ecu form st205 as an upgrade if your running st185 ( im not sure about the older 1980s gt4 ), or add an rsm or even just snip afew wires . But you may also have to sort your fuel cut defender to stop the shut down |
