I need a new radiator and I found one online that is on sale for very cheap. Says that it is for an automatic transmission, I drive a manual. My question is if that matters at all. All of the dimensions that they have on the sight seem to fit what is in my car now. I noticed the lines that run to it for the transmission fluid. Would it fit? and also would it make a difference if I just did not hook up those lines? Thanks for any help. Raves |

Ok now next question. What type of seal is this. Like am i going to need to press it in. Does it sit right there when you pull the axle out? |

I just put a new axle in my car about 4 days ago. This is the driver side and it is on the 7afe. I noticed that the day after I did this the transmission is leaking where the axle goes into it. Now the little metal dust cover got bent when I pulled the old axle out. Could the leak be this bent dust cover because that does not seem like it could be. Or is it possible that I messed up the seal in the transmission when I shoved the new axle in there? Just wondering on some expertise here before I go tearing into the car again because that was a little bit of work pulling that axle and I want to know what it could be before I do this. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks ![]() Raves |

Im very close to ordering my 4age blacktop however I am confused about the transmission. I have read on here that the 7a tranny will bolt up to it. MY question is if the tranny from the 4age will bolt up to the celica. Since I do have the st and its a 7afe I know that the motor mounts are not a problem. If this tranny does work great and if not any suggestions?? seeing as how the engine I would be ordering would have the transmission or if i should just order the engine.....( ecu wiring harness belts pumps are already accounted for here) |

Well I did receive some news from the bank today. They do not want to give me a personal loan for that much money to get the 300. They said since the car is older than 10 years that they would not give me a loan on it and I would need to take a personal loan. Looks like the 300 will have to wait untill i can find $10,000 to drop on one haha. So i figure why not the rx8 for now and get the 300 later. |

i know OP said 300zx but im basing my claim that rx8 vs 350z. 350 MUCH faster and more reliable. and with suspension mods handles like on rails OR gets crazy sideways. whatever you want. Well what is funny is that i did look into a 350z and the insurance on one of those is outrageous. Also top gear did all of the models of the z's and the 300 smoked the 350 in a straight line which was surprising and i am just personally not a huge fan of the 350. I have yet to drive either of these cars and that will be the final choice of course. I mean the rx8 is nice i do like it but im leaning towards the 300 but if i could not get the twin turbo 300zx then i will go with the rx8. Haha is this a hard choice or what?? people talk about less miles and less problems however, if i were to get a 300 with low miles on it that could be in my favor. Also the fact that i understand the standard combustion engine with cylinders and pistons and such. As for the rx8 i would not have a clue on what to do with a rotary engine. |

Well the rx8 is a better handling car however the 300zx has a lot more power to it. Yes working on the 300 may be more of a pain but i am more comfortable with the normal piston/cylinder engine compared to a rotary haha. I think i am in need of a test drive of both. I did read also that the 300 will get about 22 mpg and the rx8 is only around 17 so that may be a deciding factor with how expensive gas is getting and will get. |

I have been looking into making my celica a little faster. seeing as how i have an st and i know for sure i cant afford a 3sgte swap some other ideas came up. I could get a 7afe from a junkyard and build it basically from the ground up. Or i get a 4agze and play with that. I am not sure which would be better. I am looking for this car to still be reliable so im leaning towards building the 7a but I am not totally sure. Any help would be great. ![]() Raves |

Hey thre i just took a trip to the junkyard and found a luggage cover. I have no idea how to put this in. I see two metal hooks on the top of the hatch but im not sure where to go from there. My car is an st and this came out of a gt but judging that i have those hooks that it hangs off of I am assuming it will work in my car. Any help please? Thanks Raves |

I guess in the end the real question would be is it better to get a 7a with less miles, because i know mine is not in good shape, and build the 7a or just put a 5s in it and build that |

Well i have been in my friends gt and it is noticeably faster and like i said it seems to be that the 5s is built to take more. People dont seem to boost 7as like they do the 5s so thats what im looking for. |

Hey there i was wondering if anyone on here has done the swap from a 7afe to a 5sfe. I am curious about doing this swap. I have a 95 st and i have had it for 3 years and I am ready for more power. I know that the power difference is not much but lets face it doing a 3sgte swap on a daily driver is very expensive for a college student and also would not be able to drive it assuming how long the swap would take. I have been looking and i would be getting the whole clip from a gt since i would have to do the motor, motor mounts tranny axles and such. I also see that you can do a lot to the 5sfe as opposed to the 7a. If anyone has done the swap i am curious on how difficult it is and since i would be doing a lot of the same to do the 3s if it would take that much time as well. Any input is appreciated. also i am looking into this because i found a gt at the junkyard with the full front clip, mor for like $200 and it sounds like a steal ![]() Thanks Raves |

So i have 2 tings for sale. 1. Blacked out taillights. Came off of a 95 hatch. If you do not want the tint i can remove the tint very easy because the tint is very dark. I have a picture of these on my profile on the car ![]() ![]() 2. Stock air intake box. In good shape. *filter included and in good shape* ![]() |

if you cut the springs you will lose performance in the corners. Not to mention it is not safe like everyone has been saying. When you cut a springs that is designed to travel that distance and you shorten that distance is throws your handling off. Not a good idea at all. The reason lowering springs work is because they are designed to be shorter and they are a stiffer spring. you cut the stock ones and its still the same amount of resistance and a shorter spring. So i put the TRD springs on my car and was expecting it to lower the car, well it did but only in the back. i see other people cars on here and both the front and the back are lowered. i thought that maybe they just needed to adjust to the car and they would lower after time but it has been probably 2 months. Is this just the TRD springs or could there be something wrong? -Raves |

Sorry but honestly I'm not seeing the difficulty in doing this. Are you saying the only problem would be the size of the glass its self? Because if I got one with all of the weather stripping and everything, measured the whole it came out of, then cut mine to that exact same size and just dropped it in. Am I being too optimistic? |
