so the other day I got around to installing a replacement alternator and battery for the celica. This alternator was 10 amps bigger and just a stock replacement battery, but now there's no power windows, door locks, sunroof, mirrors, and heating fan doesn't work. Anyone ever experience something like this before on theirs? I'm trying to look through wiring diagrams for a common source but I just thought I'd check if anyone has any insight.
Thanks

Hey everyone. So I've been searching around reading all the stickies, hell I've even been lurking in mr2oc.com but still can't find an answer to this. I have the 5sfe engine right now and as the topic says, I would love to swap in the 3sge head. I've found a fist gen head at a junkyard that I would rework but what I'm really wondering right now is how the wiring is going to work out. Does anyone know if the 5sfe harness will still work and clip into everything? I know the ecu itself will have to be switched out or piggybacked. I'm wondering if I will be able to save myself the hassel of completely switching out the harness itself. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

hey all,
So lately I've been having trouble with my clutch. When I'm stopped and have it in first gear I don't end up rolling, so I'm not sure if its actually slipping. When I hammer on the gas though, and the engine is under heavy load the engine just rev's like mad and I get no acceleration. SO, my question is: is it really my clutch thats going or is it something else?
Thanks guys!

okay so i just took the cap off to see what up under there and it looks like the contact points on the cap are just way to corroded... could it be that i just need a new cap? or is this kind of wear average. i have a pic here of under the cap and the thing underneath.

So I have a 95 celica gt 2.2l na and it has started backfiring pretty badly in lower rpms and especially under load. So I searched around and it seems that the dizzy coil is the problem. So my question is what exactly is involved in changing a coil? Is it as simple as pulling out the dizzy and just a couple a bolt to change it? I want to be sure i know what im up against when i do it since it is my currnt dd.
Thanks for any help
Steven
