Not looking to part at this time. Maybe small stuff eventually if this lot doesn't go. |

Hello, It's been a couple years since I ordered an ST205 clip and did the swap. My knowledge of what I had has faded. I have pictures in the linked album of what is left. Honestly I just want it all gone. Not looking to ship or separate. I am in Oxford, MA about 20 minutes south of Worcester, MA. Looking for $500 for everything. If you need better additional pictures/views PM me. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4eoz7o1085ivjdb/4WkAcM82Yq Thanks! |

The paint on the hood grille on the clip I bought was chipped off so much and I am unsure if the black paint should be glossy or flat. It's very difficult to tell by looking at pictures so I figured I'd ask. Also its going on a silver (199) hood if that makes a difference. Thanks! |

Hello there, Getting near the end of my swap (or so I think but never am as you all know the case) and I have seen an array of setups for Air Intakes and BOV/BPV. I was thinking of going with the BPV as I plan to recirculate it and was curious if MR2 and GT4 are the same functionally. I see they mount differently. Also, pertaining to the two inlets I have highlighted, some owners put little individual filters on these. Are there any drawbacks when doing this or reasons why I should have them go into air intake? The lower one I believe is a controlled vacuum leak which would make sense to be connected to the air intake but I figured I would ask around anyway for both. Thanks everyone! |

I am in the (timely) process of doing a swap to my 98 Celica GT. I am at the part where I will be assembling manifold and am going to get the berk downpipe. My question is which one? I plan on running the stock ECU and not going to crazy with my car (for now anyway). It will be a three season vehicle here in MA. Is it wise to get the wideband o2 now in case I eventually put in a management system? Does the regular o2 sensor fit in there? Is the ceramic coating worth it or is it just marketing? Then it's a 3" outlet. Should I run 3" all the way back? I have seen that can result in boost creep. Also: How many gauges (and what should they monitor) would people recommend? I assume oil pressure and boost. But I see all this AFM, no AFM, temperatures etc so I am a little confused for my application. Thanks all. |

Bought a ST205 clip from Texas and decided to get an E153. So the E154F is up for grabs and I will throw the axles in as well. About 50,000 miles on it. Looking for $350 for it all locally. (I am in central, ma) Really don't wanna ship because of shipping costs kind of kill the price. Sorry for the huge pictures. Thanks for looking. |

cool thanks for all the feedback guys. ill definately look into what you said cameron. so i guess lsd isn't really in the picture unless i can score one cheap. on the same line then, would a s54 or non lsd e153 or even taking the awd portion out of the 154f be the way to go or are they all relatively equivalent. |

Well I don't plan on installing an LSD in a tranny, because that is very costly/time consuming. I was just asking, given my situation, if I should go E153 w/ LSD, E153 from Camry (non LSD) or now it appears I should consider the stock transmission from the GT. |

Hello all, I recently got an ST205 clip for a swap this winter and obviously need a new tranny. My question: As someone who isn't going to be on a track, is LSD worth it? I don't plan on racing but will I still feel the power or is it worth the time it takes to try to hunt one of these E153 LSD tranny's down? Thanks. |

I just checked minutes ago and there is still no blockage due to carbon where you suggested. Sp I am still where I left off. Anyone else have any input or things they have succeeded with? Much appreciated! |

I have been doing a lot of research on how all these components I describe work, and I feel it could be a common problem to the average car customizer. I am probably over looking a solution or my case is very specific: I have a 98 Celica GT and last winter I put new custom cams from Delta Cams, bought the eBay header, straight piped the cat, and added a Flowmaster Hushflow muffler. I kept the diameter of the exhaust stock. Shortly after doing all these mods I started getting a CEL for EGR insufficient flow and one for EGR excessive flow and also a intermittent rough idle. As usual, I checked the functionality of the EGR valve and noticed it was sticking open so I cleaned it up, tried again, same outcome. I replaced with a new OEM one. Then my next idea was to check the VSV. Sure enough it had a small leak when I tried to create a vacuum on it and replaced that with new OEM. Now I only get EGR insufficient flow and rough idle is less often. I started reading about the EGR and what the computer looks for to signal the insuffiecient flow and see it looks at MAP sensor (functioned fine). However I read aout needing back pressure to get the exhaust gasses back up into the intake and was wondering if that is my cause that I do not have enough back pressure which would show a vacuum still by the MAP sensor and signal computer that EGR didn't open enough even though it did. I feel modders would have this problem frequently and was wondering what they do typically to resolve it or do you just accept it and carry on? Thanks for reading, Brad (Long time reader, short time poster) |

Okay so I have a 98GT with a 5S-FE in it. I'm looking to eventually put some power in it or do an engine swap in the future. For now I am sick of going down the high way cruising at almost 4K rpms. I have read a lot about the E153 Tranny. I also was wondering if anyone has done an S51 swap as well. Basically to summarize what I think i know.. For E153: ST205 Mounts, Cables, and Linkage Axels- I have seen a lot of combos, i know if its out of an MR2 i need the same year inners, but i have seen that the E153 is in certain year solaras too. So could I use those inners, and for outters i see the 91 Camry seems to be most readily available. What is the Mr2 year bracket, 90-95? And anyone have any info in doing a S51 or if i even should consider it? Thanks a lot everyone! |

Hey everybody, gonna be overhauling my celica this winter in terms of performance and appearance. its a 98 gt. anyway after searching the board up and down i want to make sure i understand and havent missed anything about clear side markers. basically i want to get rid of the orange ones in place of clear ones since i have a silver car. are my only current options these: -make them (how-to) on 6gc.net ( i dont really like how non OEM they look) -buy from ebay (hate the euro style though) can the amber be taken out with the oven treatment and stuff? wolfie makes ones for the 94 95 right? if anybody else has other options you can think of lately i would love to hear. thanks! |

Hello there, I have a question about my antenna reception. I've had a Pioneer P2900MP for a while now that was connected as to use an external amp outside the deck. In this case, it was using the stock toyota amp. I decided I wanted to use the amp inside the deck instead as to not potentially harm the stock amp in future use. So I had to make my own harness that went from the output of the deck and connect to the cable that was connected to the output of the amp as to bypass the amp completely. After doing so my reception has been worse than it used to be. Stations come in and out sometimes that use to come in clear all the time. My question is does anyone know if the Antenna signal was amplified in the stock amp? Since I bypassed it maybe there is no boost? Or can anyone think of interference issues. In an attempt to fix the issue I decided to by a connector that could also use the window antenna as well. Seemed to help a little bit but not much at all. Thanks for the help! |
