I've looked hard on the net and can't seem to find too many Custom made interior sub boxes. If you have any flushed out designs for the hatchback version, please feel free to post. I need some ideas on how to start this project. i plan on 2 amps, and 1 sub, with 6.5 components in the front and back. I'd like the trunk to look real nice, carpeted to match the celica's carpet and no signs of wires hanging everywhere. Oh, and i'd like to keep the spare tire as well, maybe a system/design that can be easily taken out in case of a flat tire. thx, |

the only engine thing im doing is the tranny swap. im just scrapping the idea of even rebuilding the other engine. im keeping the block and some stuff, but im going to try to sell some of it. for me it's tranny swap, exterior, suspension, and then after college will be all the good stuff haha I can't wait till after college so the good stuff will just come very slowly. Lmao I hate to spoil your dreams..... Lots of people envision themselves with a good job after college. Truth.. maybe only 15-20% of college graduates actually achieve this. Some don't even make it through college. When i finished college, i didn't get my career job till a year later. You have to be really dedicated to what you want to do and what you want to be in order to achieve the American Dream. I'm having a taste of it, but like everyone you only get hungrier as you eat better food. |

I used paint stripper, and a rubber scrapper. Then had a buddy send my rims through the sand blaster with glass beads. It turned out as if the rims were brand new again. I'm just waiting for my powder coating gun. Planning on painting it silver gloss so it looks factory again. |

Apparently, Boats have this technology. http://www.marineengine.com/boat-forum/sho...ad.php?t=289794 anyone in here a marine tech? My pc is a Intel I7-920 with water coolers of course. The rest of the other parts are typical gamer's specs. |

As i was building my water cooled computer, it just dawned on me that no one has ever tried a water cooled exhaust manifold. I think this would drop the engine bay temp by a bunch numbers. And for those that use fiberglass wraps, this will the end of that. I was thinking maybe welding small bases on each exhaust manifold pipe and have liquid running to the radiator much like a computer cooler. I would love to see this for our 5sfe and 3sgte if its already out there!! |

I wanna repaint my wheels but am unsure as to whether my wheels are powder coated or painted. Is there any way to tell? If it is powder coat how do i remove it...can i just scuff it and paint over it? Also what paint should i use, I was contemplating using the ceramic engine coating over the dupli-color wheel paint? Any suggestions? I would use paint remover to take the paint off, you'll save so much more time over sanding. i tried sanding and it was a tiresome killer job! After that i sand blasted it off with glass and it looked pretty much new. i'm still waiting on my powder coating system to arrive. You can pick those up for pretty cheap now. |

what ever you do, don't butcher up the wiring harnesses. When i bought my Celi, it was all butchered up. I had to go to the junk and find a harness and redo the stock harness... which totally sux. |

i like the feel of the Celica more. as stated before the seating position of the celica feels more comfortable to me, and more sportier. But if you taste for power, go for WRX. I drive 25K+ a year so i'd prefer comfort over power. |
