Been meaning to do this too and i was researching this forum and found other ppl who didnt solder in leds and kept it simple and put in bulbs (plug and play). check out these discussions http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=56078 http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=61249 - >"How-To: Back Lighting: Other Options There are also 10mm "neo wedge" bulbs here, which *could* even be a perfect fit. A while back i found specs on the toyota bulbs that said they were 9.5mm. I have *NOT* tried the 10mm neo wedge yet." Zimluura i found alot of ppl recommended superbrightleds.com . they sell normal 194 and 74 leds with resistors inside but i not sure abt the neo wedge bulbs ur looking for but they do sell a variety. best bet is to look at the dimensions of the oem bulb and find the correct fit and look on sbl. its confusing on here every1 saying get different sizes. id recommend buying leds from them, i bought some from them and ebay and sbl quality is by far better. let me know how u go and if u can clarify the dimensions thatd be sweet coz i too want to do this |

Ok so i was playing around to the car, trying to get the rear speakers coz im planning on installing new speakers and a deck; iwanted a 1st look at the rear speaker bracket . followed the sticky that was in the how-to and i successfully took it all out. wen i was putting the bolts and screws in for the side molding and i sheared a bolt with half the bolt stuck inside. its a bolt that secures the bracket and this bracket is used to rest the bottom cushion. now i continued putting back 2gether after a 20 minutes of assessing the damage and being str8 out stunned. just wondering if this will affect my rear sits if sum1 sits on it n any ideas taking it out? thanks guys |

OMG so i got home from work today excited to do my dash conversion like everyone else in this forum. so i went bought myself some refractory blue LEDs for my dash; checked them when i got them delivered, they worked fine with a battery and a base that i got from kmart. so i started taking my dash apart with much success and ease i got up to the switching of the LEDs. Now the problems begin, i didnt bother to think that the LEDs were terminal sensitive so i stuck the 3 LEDs in the back (lighting my tach, speedometer, temp, and fuel gauge). When i went to plug multiplugs back in none of the LEDs turned on. so i remembered the LEDs were terminal sensitive and continued to replace the LEDs with the original bulbs and with no luck they didnt turn on. so then i went on and rotated the bulbs (8F f***ing different combinations and no luck and they didnt turn on. so i gave up on it and went to my glove box to change the little light to a blue LED. that originally worked till wen i was flicking my parking lights on and off that it blew. Now none of the internal lights work. My Cigarette light ring, my A/C back light, back light to the stock light and autotramission light(P R N D 2 L and ECT). Did i just blow a fuse that collectively controls all the internal back up lights? on my dash the Park brake, battery, oil, BRAKe, driver seat belt, and O/D Light, light up. The light for thebuttons on A/C unit, dome light and courtesy door light light up. also before i moved on from my dash to glove box, the back up lights in the middle console were working. Did i just blow a major fuse? if i did can u tell me where to locate the fuse as i dont want tostuff things up more. photos PLZ! visual aid will be the best help atm. did u do something more serz? can some plz help me, i still want to convert my interior lights. i was really looking forward to this. now i got parts all over the place, bulbs and screws everywhere, its quite an ugly look. funny thing is im still in my car typing this as im waiting for the rain to die done so i can run back inside. help plz rich |

Hey just a quick question coz im thinking of getting splitters in Aus are they install to install? is it straight forward? should i be considering paying to install these or should i do it my self? just wondering whats a "reasonable" price range for originals and replicas cheers They're easy to install I'm just missing some mudguard bolts under my front bumper and that's what they bolt on to so I just have to find some and they should be on in no time. Definitely a do it yourself job, all you have to do is drill some holes in the little flaps to correspond with the bolts on your bumper. Not quite sure what a good price is for genuine ones but I got mine from vincent_doggy for 175 USD shipped. SWEET save sum money there... trying to gather up the cash... found a place where i live in sydney that has it for roughly AUSD220 (front and rears) and AUSD280 for the side... im geed to get it just need the cash for this hot mod... thanks for the advice |
