there were nkg's in it, but they were old and blackened. i got bosch platinums and now i dont know if a cylinder isnt firing or a wire is busted. it runs really rough. ive never had a problem with the engine in this car until now, it ran perfectly until the plugs got changed

the engine light does come on now as well.

smkr3w, so i must have the right plugs cuz that's what they looked up for me and the plugs come gapped, has got to be wires or distrib then? thnx for your expertise

Everything on this car is so old, i wouldn't be surprised if we busted something while changing the plugs. i had bought a set of the 1.8 wires but still had the same problem so i returned em not knowing if i had the right engine.

heres a pic, and we checked to make sure the plugs were on the corresponding number on the distributor. im thinking the guy at the store looked up plugs for a 96 celica and i heard this engine might have been from a toyota wagon.

i appreciate all of the help guys, im so bad with cars

Having some trouble identifying the engine in my 96 ST. The car ran perfectly until a friend of mine changed the plugs, now runs terrible. I then remembered When i purchased the car, the owner had said the engine was swapped out. i looked around the entire engine until finding a small tab under the alternator that read:

2T1BB02E2
TC167804

Ive googled it a bunch a times and looked for toyota engine codes but didnt see anything like it. any help would be appreciated.

I have a very similar issue. I was reccomended to check my CV joints. sounds like im low on power steering fluid but kicks right back in. all of that stuff has 210K on my cars so thats my guess.

Like cars, Japanese Guitars are of a fine quality. I collect and rebuild Japanese ibanez's.

the list, ill keep it short by naming the nice ones. i have many

1987 Ibanez 550 (parts from 85-90) Rare color "Desert Eagle yellow"

1999 Ibanez 530 Hammered steel finish no frills, i use for parts mainly

My PRIDE & JOY Indonesian made Ibanez XPT 700/ Xyphos "Red chameleon" finish, this pic does no justice it turns from red to green as it moves

this guitar sounds and plays as badass as it looks! Anyone who needs help with fixing/rebuilding PM me i know a lot.

i liked the staight up black you did before you put the stripe on it. hey, im all about blood and guts, but it is a little much. I eventually would like to have my ST painted like my guitar, red chameleon. id go with a unique color instead of a design.

I have a 96 25th ann ST, and the front rotors, calipers, pads need replacing, I got a really good offer from someone, but they are off of a GT. I read the earlier post about how the GT brakes are %15 better. im getting the GT brackets as well. IF anyone knows a good online "how to" i would appreciate it, im not great with cars past oil changes and brake pads. I live in maine so the good toyota shops are far and few between. where can i get a chilton manual online?
