got the radiator mounted. shubert spent a lot of time making perfect brackets out of aluminum. got us some good clearance and nice positioning. we also got the belts on, vac lines done and some other misc things done. all we really have left is a little bit of wiring and buttoning up small things to get it cranked. still got work to do before it hits the road though

Got the FPR and all the fuel lines done. Put in the one way valve (which you can't see cause we are tight like that), T-pipe, and filter. Got some more wiring done. Hoping to post up some pics with all the intercooler piping done later.

well we got a good bit done this weekend. got the manifold mounted, turbo and wastegate mounted onto the manifold, oil cooler adapter put on the block, harness installed and tucked, intercooler piping mocked up. doesn't seem like much but with this being so custom, we keep running into small issues that have to be ironed out. i'll get some more pics up soon

we didn't change any of the internals on the bottom end because of how bulletproof the gze bottom end is. the rods and crank are forged, the pistons are forged and coated. so we put a 2.0mm HKS head gasket and a bigport head on and called it a day.

the fbodies are definately big down here. my buddy has a ws6 with a cam that I am calling out first. I took out his stage 2 srt-4 with the 1st twincharge build that was pushing 215whp

well a couple of times, it almost turned into a turbo only build. it has been a pain to keep the turbo and supercharger. im trying to build something rare and 4agte's aren't rare but the twincharges are rare and even rarer in a 7th gen. We are seriously hoping to hear it crank this weekend

I actually had the blitz pulley on there before I did the twincharge setup but the ABV mod wasn't done so it wasn't doing anything. I gave the pulley to the guy that is helping me with everything and he did the ABV mod, and it is strong as hell. I would have been happy with a bigger pulley (that was doing any good) and would have never done the twincharge setup but that is neither here nor there. A 4agze with the NST pulley kit and a fmic would be a beast that I would be more than satisfied with.

as for the vw setup being for economy, that is with their goal. we are using the design of it but with higher boost and some small tweaks. the whole point of the one way valve is to let in the extra air so that the turbo isn't trying to pull more from the supercharger. instead of running off of one filter, we are using an additional filter, with the one way valve and right by the turbo, so that they aren't both feeding off the same air.

as big of a pain as it was to keep the supercharger, i almost went with the 4agte that you are describing. the gze bottom end is pretty much bullet proof and will hold the 350whp (that i'm going for) and with a bigport head, it is definately turbo ready. i also have an extra e58 laying around from the second motor.

thanks. that just gave me some ideas. im gonna keep my open dump tube because i love the sound but i really like where you mounted the oil filter. i bet it makes it easy as hell to change your oil. how much did it up your oil capacity with the oil cooler and lines? I grabbed an extra quart. i figured it should be more than 1 quart

the work is being done by myself and another corolla enthusiast by the name of shubert.

as for my goals, they are show and go. we are going to be looking at cutting it off around 300-350whp which is good enough for me. there are definately easier ways of doing it, but i did want to build a "one off" car. as celicas, ya'll are at least looked at as sports cars but as a corolla owner, we are looked at as grocery getters and not performance machines even though we pretty much share the same engine bay.

i can tell you that it has been a PITA to keep it twincharged. I am on my third gze because of the problems with the setup before. we had to do some serious modifying to get the supercharger to stay on with that big port intake. we banged in the firewall to create some clearance for the sc since its cocked back a pretty good ways. we also had to modify the intake plenum of the sc, and the sc mounts to get it all to fit.

the bottom pic is the most recent. we just got the motor back in this past weekend. for right now, the supercharger is going to be pushing the stock 10lbs and then probably have the turbo pushing between 20 and 25lbs. with the old setup, it put 215 to the wheels but there were quite a few bugs/problems with that setup which is why I am redoing it. we (me and the guy that is helping me, shubert) are doing the "vw" setup which Im including a diagram of. Instead of having two "Y" pipes, there is going to be two filters with the filter by the turbo being after a 1 way valve. what will happen is when the turbo starts trying to pull more than the 10lbs the sc is feeding it, the 1 way valve will open and allow it to pull in fresh air also
