It says that is fits all 2.2 celica's but are there slight diferences in the design of the 5th gen header compared to the 6th gen? |

awsome celica. That is the way all 3rd gen celica's should look. I think that the wing fits in nicely with the overall theme of the car. It looks like the owner put in a lot of thought on how he wanted the car to look and in the end everything seems to compliment each other. |

QUOTE(Jehuty @ Nov 23, 2004 - 12:27 PM) QUOTE(madmods @ Nov 17, 2004 - 7:34 PM) Do any of the other year aftermarket celicas or camrys, mr2s headers fit my 5sfe? I was wondering the same thing myself. Hotshot makes a 5sfe header for the MR2 NA. I think it will work with modification. Cant be sure, tho. I would not reccommend using a header intended for a 3sge. A header is one of the more sensitive parts of an NA engine. Specifically, the length of the primaries, their diameter, and the type of collector can all differ to shift the powerband. A 3sge header would most likely work against all the 5sfe's characteristics. You would almost certainly lose power at low rpms, and possibly even at peak. That's just my guess tho! About that hotshot MR2 header tho... I think that if we are expected to pay 500 dollars for it, it's only fair for them to post some dynos. What do you think? I believe he was refering to the pacesetter header for the 3s-fe that was design for the 4th gen celica. And that header is only $150, but you also need to realize that you get what you pay for. |

NO MACCO, unless you want the paint to start chiping off in about 3 months. A decent paint job will cost between 1500 and 2000 dollars |

Your sensor's probably bad. Same thing happened to me. I would turn it on and then it would just flash at me. Was going to get if fixed untill I found out that it was going to cost 1100 dollars for a new sensor. |

If your going to go turbo might as well do the exhaust at the same time because the downpipe won't connect to the stock exhaust, as most (if not all) 7a turbo kits are for rolas and there exhausts differ from celica ones. Also with a turbo that is connected to a stock exhaust your just going to hurt your performance because with all the extra air and fuel that your going to be using your stock exhaust will not be big enough to handle it all efficiently. |

Yea its very messed up that means that your sensor went bad and unless you have piles and piles of money laying around I would say just get used to not having cruise. Mine went out and for a brand new sensor it was 1100 dollars. I don't know why they are so damn expensive but they are. You can try and find one in a salvage yard though might be a little cheaper. |

So today I was with my friend working on his car when one of his other friends shows up. He has a 77 Monte Carlo with a 350, flowmaster exhaust, and the stock 2 barrel carb. Well after we got done with his car my buddies like you guys should race, and well after they spent about an hour convicing me, I gave in. He lives on a farm, and there is a road about 1 mile from his house that splits his property in two, and thats were we race. So we line up, and my buddy flags us and I jump all over him end up beating him by 2.5-3 car lengths. Then we do it again cause he said he screwed up . To make sure he doesn't do that again I let him honk his horn and on the 3rd one we go. Well we go on the third on and he gets about half a car length on me at the start. I, however, come back in second, and pass him in third. I ended up beating him by about 1.5-2 car lengths. Just thought that I would share. Its not everday that you can say you beat a muscle car. Even though I wouldn't really concider that Monte very muscular it's still cool to say. John |

Not to be mean. It's a great truck, but I have to clarify a few things. I have raced a 99 S10 with the 4.3 Vortec w/ 5spd. All he had was the K&N intake system and I won by 1 car length(I have a GT). Those trucks are still really nice, and can be customized to whomp a celi. I have heard that the 4.3 Vortec reacts extremely well to mods. |

You should walk the 92 Probe. I think that those ones only have around 145hp witch is not very much for the weight of those, they are heavy. And with the Prelude, my ex girlfriend has one, and when my buddy raced me in hers (he used to have one) he beat me by about a car length. Keep in mind that hers was completely stock and I had intake, exhaust, clutch. She also has a 5spd so I don't know if the prelude that your talking about is an auto. If it is if will be very close. |

Didn't speedtoe do that to some GT-S wheels, like black with a polished lip? I think it was him. Anyway they looked really good IMO. I don't know about our stockers though. I don't think that the wheels are really set up for anything like that. Ther spokes are too wide IMO. But do what you will.....and best of luck doing it. |

If you are racing, and getting that much tire spin then you must be revving really high. I never get wheel hop. Mabey you should check your tires. Could be over inflated. |

Last summer I raced a late 80's early 90's something Camero with a 305 I think and exhaust and an intake. He beat me but only by half a car length. It was any auto, but I still felt good. He also raced my friends 99 Extreme and beat him by two car lengths he has a 5 speed and I can only beat him w/ the celi by about 1 to 1.5 car lengths. So I don't really now what my point with all this was, but I thought that I would share since it's kinda on topic. |

Yes definetly wait untill you finish the car. You have probably put tons and tons of hours into it all ready so why not finish. Then if you still think it a wiser move to go for a little more luxury then I say sell it. Plus a swaped celi will get way more money for you to spend on a downpayment. In other words -- GET SOME OF YOUR MONEY BACK MAN. John |
