Can someone tell me if if a 15x8 +25mm offset will fit without rubbing in the front with 225/45zr15 Hoosiers on a lowered car?

^ Aw yes! Excellent! Which class are you in?

I ran Novice, but I think I'd still be in street modified even without the S/C because I have a half rad and no cat.

Ready for autox tomorrow. Second time, last time was 3 years ago when it was supercharged.

These take a long, long time to install, but I've had had mine for 3 years now and they've held up really well and continue to shine up nicely.

Hey there guys its been awhile...everything's been going great with my build and she still runs like a top. With Ben upgrading his cams and turbo, I've been thinking a lot about an idea That popped in my mind long ago...

Now I know that twin turbos on the 3sgte is pretty useless. But what about adding a supercharger to spool the turbo? I myself have no idea if this will work and the only reason I'm entertaining this idea is because Ben and Brian didnt just shove it off when I asked them about it, which makes me think it might be doable and somewhat worth it?

If there's no way in hell this could happen lemme hear it...but I'm pretty sure Alex still has his old SC layin around and I would hate for that to go to waste. What's up guys am I just dreaming?

It can be done with the V-5 that Alex has, but not in the manner you are thinking. The V-5 can flow way more air than your stock turbo (750cfm @ 14psi), so you wouldn't want to feed the turbo with that supercharger. The problem I had with the 7a is that the supercharger was too big for that engine, but it still made decent power once it was making enough boost to overcome spinning the supercharger. You'd be better off feeding the supercharger with the turbo or having a combined system with a valve that switches between the two once one flows more than the other, but I don't think that setup would be worth the time or effort.

If I was going to do it I'd run the turbo into an intercooler into the S/C then back through an intercooler to the engine and add water/meth. If that didn't work so great I'd work on the combined piping system. Also remember that a centrifugal supercharger is not going to give you instant boost, it has to "spool up" with engine speed. Boost with a centrifugal is pretty linear to RPM's. If you decide to get the supercharger from Alex, let me know and I'll be happy to help out.

Just a heads up that it is a F-trim V5 and yes it ran just fine with the supra injectors, 2bar map, larger fuel pump and no tuning. Also fine with or without the intercooler.

Pretty cool to hear you passed up your exit to swing by us. These are a good little group of guys here in NC. I'm on to other car projects but plan to still keep involved whether or not I'm driving the celica ... it's always a good time.

Yes it did come with the fan. A stock one would work if necessary.

I have one, so here's my 2 cents. You can get one for an integra on ebay for like 60-70 bucks..cheaper than stock. They are aluminum and generally thicker than stock, so it will cool at least as well as a stock radiator. It will also fit in with the stock 7a rad hoses. There's no reason to switch to one if your current radiator is fine, but if you need a new one you can't beat the price. I got mine because I needed room for the supercharger when I had it, but I still use the half rad and have had no problems. I recommended the same one to celica74 and he has had no problems either.

The sprayer that you'd use for that plastidip stuff won't work for traditional auto paint. I've heard people getting decent results with the HF gun, but what really makes or breaks the job is the preparation and technique. Do lots of reading on auto body forums and if you spend a crapload of time on the prep and do all the right steps you will have a nice result. Like Box said TCP Global is a good place to get tools and paint supplies. Whatever gun you choose you'll need a compressor that can keep up.

Last year I was a total noob with body and paint work so I did the research, got the tools and painted my car. It turned out pretty nice and I learned a lot from it so I'd be happy to answer whatever questions you have.

Yeah, I don't mind doing the prep work. And I'm just going to be painting a fender and maybe a door. So if I mess up the fender, it wont be a big deal. We also have a pretty large compressor at the shop that I work at, so that shouldn't be a problem.

What type of paint should I buy from TCP and how much would I need. I know my paint code is 202 black, but I'm not sure what the equivalent of that would be from them. I'd like to just do an easy single stage. Something cheap that I can wetsand and buff and that would blend well with factory paint if I just decide to repaint a small spot or problem area.

Lagos, I have a harbor freight HVLP kit with two guns. I've used the smaller one and had no problems. TCP is great, but for what you're doing I would checkout automotivetouchup . They sell ready to spray paint so you don't have to do any mixing. I used it on a replacement fender and bumper for my wife's car and was pretty happy with it.

On the valve (cam) cover: Large hole (pcv valve) was plumbed to the catch can. Smaller port (which went to intake manifold) was blocked off.

lol I LOVED all of the f&f movies.... except the 4th one... it pissed me off seeing all those muscle cars, and then seeing a muscle car already in motion doing a wheelie in the dirt.

I love using F&F quotes anytime im bringing a friend a beer (which is usually a corona) i say "you can have any beer you want as long as its a corona"

at the cruise in meets when the honda idiots do a burn out or speed out the parking lot i yell LOUDLY "NOOOOOOOOOOOOO MONICAAAAAAAAA!!!!" the entire parking lot usually laughs

Matt,

If there's any car that they could play off pulling a wheelie in motion it ought to be that car. It's F-bomb owned by David Freiburger (chief editor of Hot Rod magazine), 1540hp and 1527 ft lb. At least it wasn't a s2000. However, I think the real car wasn't actually in the movie. They made a bunch of clones. Check it out Nelson Racing Engines

Wrong, you don't. Unless you're talking about the little metal piece part that meets the head...not the gasket.

*Edit: In my personal opinion it's not necessary, while the book may say to use it. I haven't had any issues not using it and it's a lot easier to add it if you had a small leak rather than dealing with getting that crap off if you need to take off your valve cover.

There's no reason to put RTV on a valve cover gasket. You should put a light amount of oil on it like your oil filter. Valve covers are meant to be removable.

Haha, sort of. I work M-F. I'm just always on call, but I can handle most things from anywhere, especially if there's wireless access.

I can't tell the difference just by looking at that pic, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a post 95 thing. You'll also notice they changed the alternator bracket to a slightly different black one and no longer tapped the oil cooler return in the top oil pan. I'm not sure if it all changed in 96, but it makes sense.
