the ecu changed in 95 I think (going by different part numbers) however as far as I can work out it doesn't really mean much. the pin outs for the 3S-GE are the same between curren and celica. Do you need a diagram of the pinouts? Yes please i kneed to verify that the ecu on the greddy manual is the same one as what i have in the car because it doesnt give you color coding for the wires. I have wired the emanage car starts but it idles rough like a scooby. So i wanna check the wiring. Thanks for your reply. |

Hello Guys I owned A 1994 Toyota Curren ST206. I am in the process of Installing an EMU (emanage ultimate). The car has a gen3 3sge motor in it. I want to know if it would have the same ecu as a 94-97 celica st202 jdm. Just to make sure i have the wiring info correct. I have installed the emanage but the car idles rough. Just wanted to make sure that its not a wiring issue.... Any one with emanage experience feel free to chime in. Please if you have no experience with the ultimate and heard people comment and say its not good please keep that comment to yourself thx |

Hey Guys I need some Help Dr. Tweak could help with this I think. I saw a harness that allows you to use a gen3 ecu on a gen 2 engine and harness. I am wondering can something like that be done so i can use a gen 3 3sgte ecu on a gen3 3sge engine and harness. I appreciate your answers in advance. |

Ok this may sound crazy. Is there anyway to make a 3rd gen 3SGTE ECU run a 3rd Gen 3SGE Engine. Any ideas guys??????? why dont u just get a 3sge ecu I am turbocharging the ge. i was wondering if the turbo ecu would run the engine in turbo form better than the ge ecu. This is what i have so far for the project. 8.5.1 Ross forged pistons 3rd gen exhaust mani. and ct20 3rd gen 3sgte map sensor 3rd gen 3sgte intake manifold fuel rail and injectors FMIC and a stock water intercooler (still havent decided) Thank you for your ideas |

I guess everyone is on vacation from the forum......Any help please you would need to drill the gen2 HG for the gen3 head (coolant lines) yes, you can use gte pistons in the 3s-ge its the same block, unless of course its a beams (vvti) 3s-ge, is which case your going to lose huge power.... but gen3 8.5:1 pistons r fairly ideal if you cannot afford to go with a forged bottom end, of course with the power/turbo u want to use a forged bottom end is pointless. Can Gen2 gte pistons work in the ge block? The block is a gen3. Thank You i am getting closser to a solution. its a 3s block, GE is the head model. gen2/gen3 BLOCK is really the same, just manufactured at a different time and reinforced in a different way, teh technical specs match. as forging over the years progresses they try to find ways to reduce weight with new spine methods So thats a yes i can use the turbo pistons in the non turbo block. I wanted to turbocharge the curren so thats why i want the info. just give me a definite yes so i can know what to do lol. I like yes no answers lol. Thank You |

Hey Guys. I have a couple questions. I just changed out the pistons in My MR2 to forged ross pistons. Now i have a set of low compression pistons on my hands. I have a 1994 toyota curren with a 3rd gen 3SGE. I am wondering can the 3sgte pistons fit in the 3sge block. also can the head gasket for the gen2 fit on the gen3 3sge block? Cause i have a Metal head gasket I would like to use to it on the gen3 block. I plan on using a CT26 and running 12 PSI on it. I have a gen 3 fuel rail and injectors, I also have a upgraded fuel pump. I need to know if the pistons can fit and work. Also how difficult would it be to do a gen2 3sgte in the same car? Thanks for the help in advance |
