I was told to get a dynomax bullet muffler, its like a resonator but told to quiet down the exhaust and remove raspiness, anyone have feed back on those? |

No, I had a aftermarket muffler, and the header made it sound raspy and ricy. So idk what I was thinkin but I got a full 2.5" back exhaust with a skunk 2 muffler. So my car is staright piped, catless header, 2.5" exhaust straight to muffler, and I need my stock manifold with cat cause its killing me and my gas, egr doesn't have any back pressure, so I have 2 codes all the time, egr insufficient flow and catalyst failed emmissions haha |

Anyone know a website where I can get the stock exhaust manifokd with cat for my 98 gt. I put a cat delete header on and it sounds like crap, so I want to put the stock back on but my original was scrapped with out me knowing. So a website would be great thanks. |

Looking to do a 3sgte swap on my 98 gt. Read a ton about how much of a pain the wiring is. I've been told about phoenix tuning (tweak'd) but I feel the price to get it done is nuts. I've also talked to jim and haven't heard much from him recenty. So can someone please tell me or point me to a thread explaining what has to be done the wiring |

Alright so im lookin to do a 3sgte swap on my 98 gt. Now I know a front clip is the way to go cause it has everything you will need. But I don't have the room for a whole front end of a car. So im wonderin, if I just buy a motor with complete harness and ecu. What all will I need that it doesn't come with? |

ok i did some research and the front clip is the way to go. so with the harness you just have to convert it to fit the 5s fuse box? |

well im looking more for the engine with the ecu and harness, i dont have room for a whole clip. so let me get this straight. you have to splice the 3sgte harness into the 5sfe harness so it will reach through the firewall or what? i havent quite grasped this yet. |

Ok so I've done searching over the internet and on here and im wondering if someone can help me out to giving me a website where I can get a good deal, on a 3sgte with the ecu and uncut harness. Im wanting to swap my 98 gt. But also a quick question while im on here, with the harness will I have to cut another whole in the harness or what I've never been clarified on that. |

Alright so im getting a good deal on a looks like a gt4 front bumper, and a rear bumper of some sort that looks good. they are both primered and are in good condition. but heres the thing, i dont feel like blowing $200 on getting some fresh paint when maybe i could find a cheaper way with the same quality. nothing can beat a professional, but if i were to paint it myself, what should i do, from beggining to end? and btw the bumpers will be off the car, i dont want to bother driving around with primed bumpers and having to tape stuff off, so the bumpers will be off the car for this. |

so my 98 celica gt is closing up on the 280,000 mile mark, stock engine and hers want i want to do very soon rebult the engine of coarse. new seals, bearings, pumps, yada yada yada, the usual but i want to bore it 20 over, get 20 over forged pistions. forged rods, and high performance bearings, if i can find em , get the head port and polished, although because of the motor design it wont make much of a difference.after all this i want to boost it, with the extra displacement i could use for boosting. and i wont be running a ridiclous amount of boost, a tasteful 8-13 lbs but my question is, getting bored, will that weekend my cylinder walls to the point that boosting it could cause some problems? other than that, thats all i wanna do, i dont have the money for a 3sgte swap which i would love to do. but does all this sound reasonable or am i being a high hope ricer? haha thanks |

So I own a white 98 celica ft and I am wanting to do something different to it. In my opinion I think my white celica would look really good with black rims, but im not wanting to spend $600+ on rims, so im thinking painting my stock rims black and throwing on a really high gloss clear coat on them. Would this work and has anybody done this? Thanks |

so im getting a P0401 code on my 98 celica gt and ive replaced the egr valve, vacuum modulator, and vsv and still get the code i have cleaned the intake side port of egr but im curious of where the exhaust enters through the head then to the egr pipe so far i have noticed 1 port but i dont know if there are more, cause they may be clogged here is a picture of a blocke with the exhaust ports and the red is where the egr flows. please anybody know anything? |

ive cleared the code after every time i try to fix it, and it comes right back on, now i just got done reading a thread about replacving the modulator, so i think thats my next step. |

So my 98 celica gt has been throwin me this code for about 2 weeks now and its not staying away. I have cleaned the port on the throttle body, cleaned the vacumm line ports on the throttle body, replaced egr valve, tested the vacumm modulator (item to the left of the egr with a filter in it), and tested the vsv which is a purge solenoid on the lower part of then engine (ecm tell it when to allow vacumm to open egr i did all of this and yet i keep getting the code now my last suspects are either the map sensor or ecm now with the map sensor im sure it would run funny and all if it went bad, but the car runs fine and ecms dont go bad often so can any one help me, im taking any suggestion at this point. |

So recently I just got a code for a P0401, which means my egr is jacked up, now I'm not to sure about this cause I don't know if my car has an egr valve? Its a 98 celica ft 5sfe m/t and last time I looked under the Hood, I don't remember seeing an egr valve. Does anyone know if my car has one? |

This weekend I am getting a full 2.5" exhaust from my header to my muffler, my car is already pretty loud but I was wondering if this will make my car obnoxiously loud and it may sound to ricerish. I do not have a cat, or a resonator. So can anybody tell me what the results may be? |
