I bought some Raiser blocks only to find out they dident fit my spoiler...

I had heard they fitted the original 2 post spoiler. And all the celica's in denmark, Most of them has a original spoiler on them which is the same as mine.

How come there is 2 different 2 post spoilers?.

It sucks big time getting ones from Japan, Painted and then finding out they dont fit frown.gif.

It looks like all Japan / US has the right 2 post spoiler... as said, If i go to Car gallery websites in denmark. The majority is fitted with the spoiler i got

Turns out the GT4 Spoiler has to be cancelled as my Original Spoiler dont fit the Blocks...

I dont know why, Most celica's in Denmark uses this 2 post spoiler. and the base is not high / long enough. Its almost like half of the original for the GT4 spoiler :(

And the thing is i dont have any money left for styling. So i'll try and sell the blocks now and buy one when time comes i can afford one. So its gonna be with the Original Spoiler for now :-(

Rear bumper is getting mounted tommorrow. The Front bumper in the next week

UPDATE 6/5/2010.

Everything is getting repainted tommorrow. So that meens it will be mounted most likely in the weekend or early next week :-). Currently the Rear bumper and the spoiler have been taken off for repainting.. the spoiler is being repainted so that im sure that the Raiser blocks & the spoiler match colour perfect. it wont look very good if it turns out to have a slightly colour difference as can be expected on a 15 year old paintjob Versus a new one.

Im buying other styling fence than what followed the kit.. The kit one is black while i prefer something in chrome as thats more visible.

Im sorry about all the picless Updates. But there will soon be new pics added, hopefully with everything mounted wink.gif.

-i'm always getting a thumbs up
-one old lady asked me... no told me i must have a great job to be able to afford such a car (thought it was a latest model)
-rolleyes.gif some one said nice supra
-kid in a rental minivan (tourist) used his disposable camera to take a picture of the car, lol
-guy asked me if it was for sale recently, even though the car hadnt seen a wash in months.
-etc.

biggrin.gif

I was in the 2nd to left lane on the freeway today (right by the hammer lane) going about 70mph and a G35 came flying up behind me and slows down right next to my car. There was about 6 people in the car and I swear all of them had there hands against the window and were just STARING at my car and pointed at it. I just kinda laughed, and after about 2 mins of them cruising next to me, they took off again.

SO many people have no idea what kind of car mine is. It's funny. laugh.gif

Just checked your photo's. Understandable with that Gt4 bodykit and spoiler. Looks amazing.

Street racing is a taboo because it takes a certain mind to appreciate it. Most people here either don't have means to do it or can not afford it or just simply repeat someones words. Yes there are irresponsible street racers such as 15 year olds who just got their driver's license and cant drive in a straight line let alone handle anything faster than a kia.

Street racing is no more dangerous than a teenager who is driving and texting or a soccer mom who multitasks or a half asleep guy who is weaving all over or an old person who cant even see above the steering wheel. When done responsibly street racing can be fun and safe at the same time. It happens all over the world and it does not matter if its bikes, cars, scooters, horses, camels, bicycles, pogo sticks... as long as you put 2 men with 2 sources of transportation... you will have a race.

I do not recommend street racing but I do support it. After all that is why all of us want to put power modifications... to go faster than the other guy... ideally a lot faster.

Its very very common in denmark, thats all i know wink.gif. There is like these permanent places it happens every weekend, And many hundreds come to each spot, there is a really cool mood too

"street racing" is considered a taboo. glad to hear is in a secure area thumbsup.gif

When people says "street racing" i think people misunderstands it as some guys hanging out in the city racing from one street light to the others. I understand why people dont like that, I dont do it either. But those arranged street racings, Long away from any civil people and with people with walkie talkies making sure everything is safe before any cars drag hegother, I think its perfectly okay.

Most people who attend to this stuff in Denmark, Does it because we love cars and have a passion for them. There is idiots out there who drives too fast, On the websites with cars and stuff, People have the exactly same opinion as we do, if they see a video with people racing wildly in the cities they also tell them they are unresponsible

Back to topic please bowdown.gif

Just saw a thread alike this on a UK celica forum under generation 7 celica's. Found it pretty funny to read.

I'll start out wink.gif

At some place i lived earlier, The neighbors kids was like "Wow, is it a porsche?".

When i go to some street racing places, People always love it, I had my drags with it wink.gif. I only was racing a BMW 325 vs my 3sge. it won 1 round and i won 2 tongue.gif.

Anyone else got some stories to tell?.

uh oh.... rolleyes.gif

Dont worry, Its very arranged, At an industrial area with volunteers with self lighting vest's making sure there is no one racing with any "civilists" in the area wink.gif

We are fighting hard with the goverment from all areas of the country to get some legal area's, Untill then, We will just have to arrange it ourself (Many many thousands if you include the whole continent), There have never been any persons harmed in the 10 years in the whole country. So i wouldent worry smile.gif. I only dragged once, Mostly watching biggrin.gif

I ordered this set from Germany for around 485 Euro / 646 Dollars. Including everything:

The thing is i couldent find anything about shipping in the Confimation, So im not sure if the shipping was included or not, Germany is neighbor country, So it might not be very expensive to ship. So im awaiting a answer on that. Otherwise its so cheap i can't resist, I alreayd planned to get that Front bumper. I wasent that much for the rear since i dont have exhaust in both sides. But a double exhaust.

The sideskirts im most likely not going to use. Since i love the OEM skirts.

Delivery:
• 1 x Front Bumper
• 1 x rear bumper
• 1 x left & right side
• 2 x aluminum space frame (available in black or silver)
• 2 x mounting material
• 1 x TÜV approved § 19.3 STVZO for front bumper
• 1 x TÜV-approval (ABE) for rear bumper + side skirts

Its gonna be with a GT4 wing + JDM tails, That is already on its way.
