Today a new 6gc member bought the GreenMachine. It was hard watching it go in the rear view mirror, but it's on to a new life and a good home. I'm sure you all will still be seeing her around! Cheers to all of you! I'll still be around in the shadows!

I'm in need of a RHD parking brake lever/handle. Mine has been welded and has caused damage to the e-brake cables and needs to be replaced.

Will snap a few shots, and maybe a video of it running as well. Still in the same condition as the last photos.

Gaayy......salvage title...

Nothing wrong with a salvage title. The accident is clearly marked in the photographs on my build thread, and the repairs are shown as well.

I'm posting here first before I post her up anywhere else because I'd like her to go to a worthy owner. I'll post a link to the thread as well so that anybody interested can see all of the work that has been done. The car is a 94' and sure it's a little rough around the edges, and also has a salvage title which is detailed in the thread. I hate to let her go, but it's gotten to the point where I almost never have a chance to drive her with my work schedule/traffic, and don't have time/money to continue upgrades. To finish the engine upgrades all that is needed is a stand alone, injectors, and a tune. Again I hate to let her go, but it's time for me to move on, and I've known from the very beginning that if this was to come to pass that this would be the only community that I would be comfortable leaving her too. Price is $6,000, and this will include all of the extra's that I have in the garage which are Celica related, which include wiring, heads, a/c compressor, alternator, etc....

Here's the post http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=77385

Did you see the drag race video when my axle broke? You can hear it screaming all the way down the track.

I've been looking at a set of Enkei RPF1's. Getting pretty annoyed that the best options for offset are only available in 5x114.3! I want 17x8 5x100 25mm offset! Is it too much to ask???

QUOTE (Keiri @ Apr 23, 2016 - 6:40 AM) *
Very, very dope, sir.

That spindle/axle damage looks horrendous; the sound it made when it went must have been something to hear! Glad everything is back together and that shes back on the road. We need to get a meetup or party happening this summer to chill and shoot the ****.

PS: Got that coolant issue sorted - it was definitely the rad. fan cooling switch; thanks bud!

The surprising thing is that it barely made any nois at all! Just a real low pitched thud, and then the car wouldn't move.

Hey guys! It's been a while, just want to get you guys up to date on all of the shenanigans, and provide pictures at the same time. Most of you have probably already seen a lot of this stuff on Facebook, but since this is my Project thread it should probably be included. Back in December I went to the track with my Dad and tore up the car pretty bad. Wheel hop and torque caused me to break my passenger front axle at the spline, and at the 6 bolt joint side. I also shattered the wheel bearing, and nuked the spindle. A buddy and I had actually performed a small modification on the vehicle for my day at the track. I decided to change up my screamer pipe just a touch. I also had my water-meth bung installed in to the new intercooler piping. (I DID NOT DO THE WELDING ON THIS IT WAS JUST MY IDEA). I have since fixed the car, and it is now back on the road enjoying the usual shenanigans.

Stock GT4. A friend of mine nearby picked one up from a military guy. It was such a pleasure to drive!

Luke. That primemr2 site is awesome. Lots of really good tune up parts, and it looks like it's a pile of stuff that usually goes wrong!

Oh, and on a second note! I got to drive a friends real GT4 last night. That **** was BAD ASS! The right hand drive was a bit wonky, but after a few minutes of driving you start to get used to it.

Proof that the 88 Camry outers aren't bullet proof when it comes to drag racing. I f'ed mine up pretty good. Enjoy the video!

Alright guru's. My 3s is having some slight hiccup's, and after the Facebook conversation yesterday concerning the fact that 6gc does STILL exist, I thought it important to post on here.

3 weeks ago I was driving to work and my check engine light came on. Code 52 for a knock sensor. I replaced said knock sensor with the ATS GM knock sensor. I no longer have a check engine light.

Symptoms I was having before and after.

Say you're cruising in 5th gear around 2500-3000 rpms, or 4th or 3rd. really doesn't matter. Say you are in a gear that you don't feel like shifting out of, but want to go ahead and hammer on for a little boost.
Between 3-4,000 rpms the car will hesitate. My AFR's will move from 14ish to 15ish. As soon as the car crosses the 4,000rpm threshold the AFR's will drop into the 11's or 12's, and boost properly all the way to red line.

My spark plugs are new, my dizzy cap is new, I cleaned contacts for my ignitor, and coil, I re-checked my timing, and even set my cam's back to zero (exhaust side was retarded 4 degrees), I checked/re-adjusted my TPS, checked engine grounds, and made sure there were no leaks or tears in my vacuum hose between MAP/FPR to intake manifold.

Any other suggestions guys??? These symptoms started maybe a month and a half ago.

I bought the tranny and axles from Toy. He was at stock ride height and didn't need a spacer at all, but on my set up I needed them.

What outer axles did you use? The standard is mr2 turbo inners and st185 outers but that leads to the stretching and the need for spacers for a lowered car. I understand the solution to avoid the need for spacers is to substiture lexus e250 or 89?-93 camry outers, as they are half an inch longer.

I haven't been able to confirm this, and that it is a viable long term solution.

I am actually using 88 Camry v6 outers. But I'm also lowered.

Here are a few pictures from completing the E153 swap. I had to use spacers on my set up. I've used up all of my spare axles trying to fix vibration issues, and I think I finally have it right. The vibration was so bad that the bolts on my intermediate shaft bearing backed out, and that caused a **** LOAD of vibration. Good news is that the transmission didn't leak, and still drives great. Fingers crossed I didn't completely **** it up.
I used a 3/16ths spacer on my driver side because the axle would move in and out of the transmission input by 3/16ths of an inch. I used a 1/2 inch spacer on the passenger side because the axle was WWWAAAAAY over stretched without it.

This is a picture of the spacer inside of the MR2 Turbo intermediate shaft for the passenger side. I had to have this made by a local machine shop.

This is a picture of the Spec stage 3 clutch after it was installed. Stage three is a 6 puck, and still very streetable. I also inquired with Spec as to why the stage 2+ was more expensive than the stage 3 despite the stage 3 being able to hold 480lbftq versus the 2+ 450lbft.
The reason behind this is material cost. The stage 2+ has one side that is made of Kevlar.

Here is a picture of some girl that I know that just HAD to help install the clutch...If memory serves I think I'm marrying her later this year.

See, I told you going to the E153 would be a good idea. Nobody ever believes me. tongue.gif

Question though, why are the tires so flat? It'd suck to have a blowout from the sidewall rubbing, or end up hydroplaning. I get the lower pressure to help with traction ordeal, but I wouldn't use anything less than 26 psi or so on the street. Look into the Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires, they're a fantastic tire and fairly priced. It's what my brother put onto his Genesis 2.0T to replace the original Bridgestone Potenzas and they made a huge improvement, especially in wet weather.

Box??? Has a brother???
