long story short, my pistons started to seize the day i was getting my oil changed. it was bad enough that i now need an engine swap. my mechanic tells me that there are now no usable engines this is side of the Mississippi (we already tired two).
so i'm calling on you guys for some help. if anyone has any kind of engine they're willing to part with and it can fit in a '97 5-speed GT, it would be greatly appreciated.
even if someone in or close to ohio (south west to be specific) has a car they could part with while my engine is getting fixed it would mean the world.
this is my first car and it's got a lot of history and character. even before i had it. i'm not really ready to let him go so if any could help me out, i wouldnt be able to thank you enough.

hello everyone!! haven't posted on here in while. i'm looking to pick up a seat or two. the real purpose for these (if they are stock) will be a house hold chair. i mean, who wouldn't want to sit in their celica chair all the time?? if they are after market, then they will be put in my car and ill use my own stocks as the household chairs.
im willing to pick them up myself if you're close enough. thanks a lot! i know i can always count on you guys!

If anyone out there is parting out and would be willing to give up their hatch door, id would be much appreciated
as for my current one, aside from the window, the electronic clips for the defroster and such are broken (tried working on them in the winter... bad idead ) and something inside rattles. So if the shop isn't able to replace just the window, the whole hatch would door would obviously be the next option.
So if anyone close to Ohio is willing to give up their hatch, id love you forever!!

on May 25, an awful storm rocked the Mid-West. as the storm blew in over a small town of Bellbrook, Ohio, my car was at the high school, as i was there for a school meeting. As the participants of the meeting we taking shelter, my car was the last thing on my mind as safety was the first priority. At 7:23PM, the storm ripped over the school, knocking out the power and reserves, looking out windows on the way to the safe spot, it was impossible to see more than 10 feet outside as the clouds dumped crazy amounts of water in relatively short time period combined with 60-70 mph winds. Once the storm died down, and everyone was able to go home and take shelter before the next wave, i ran out to check my car for damage, as did everyone else due to the reports of hail. at least 10 cars in the parking lot had their back windows completely smashed out. mine however... was a differnet story.

here's a general idea of how far everything went inside the car. i even found glass up on my dash
there's multiple dents on my roof and hood and 2 on the driver door. miraculously, my sunroof and all other windows and perfectly intact without a scratch somehow.

hey guys, ive had my sub for almost a year now and i finally had time to get my amp. after looking at the car, i realized i have no idea what im doing haha. this is my first car so ive never done anything like this before. so, for people who have doen this before, where did you go through the fire wall? did you have to drill your own hole? where did you mount your amp and all that. i cannot mout in under the seats do to the seat heaters that are already there. any help would be great and pics would be awesome!!

hey guys! i've had my celica since early october of 2010 and i have finally decided to do some mods of my own. the car is grey/blue and the previous owner put blue LEDs inside the car and such so i'm looking to keep with the theme and get some blue performance parts for my engine. i'm fairly new to working on cars my self so i'm wondering if you guys had any good websites i could buy parts from so in the spring i could install them. any suggestions?

it's not exactly IN the snow, but theres snow around it... but really, a huge ice storm hit my town and my baby was completely covered in half an inch. took me 20 min to get most of it off, and we're only supposed to get more ice tonight and more snow tomorrow. the new facebook event right now is "SNOWPOCOLYPSE 2011" hahaha so there should be more pics soon.

you have no idea how happy this made me!! i found this in school and i actually started crying a little. tears of joy!! i dont think you understand how much i absolutely love monster.. and i absolutely love my celica! when the two were combined.. awh, i can die happy now. thank you so so so so so so so so much!!!!!!

i'm looking to make my first mod to my celica since i bought it from the previous owner. im looking to get it before spring because it rains A LOT here.

my '97 GT hatch
his name is spyro.
he's got custom paint, spoiler converson, INGEN intake and exhaust.
interior blue LEDs in the whole dash and mood lights
i plan to make a few tweaks here and there but i like him the way he is now

We have friday night car shows here too. But id love to have a celica only meet or cruise..? That'd be pretty hawt hahaha
ill let you finalze plans. Just keep me in the loop

I live near Dayton, about an hour North-ish of Cincy. Most of my saturdays are taken up but if there was a Sunday afternoon meet sometime, I'd try my hardest to get there. Or I know i have a saturday off next month, too..?

yes, it is true, the day has finally come! i bought my first 6th gen celica today!!! i bought it from another member of 6gc.net and a very good friend of mine
it's a 1997 GT Hatchback.
