I dont have a celica anymore, but I would recommend if your going with poly's only get the front and rear tranny mounts, the side mounts will cause a lot of vibration transfer and little benefit to performance. replacing the front and rear with poly's will have less engine rock on acceleration and have a more instant torque transfer and adds little vibration comparatively to the side mounts. just my 2 cents

A sad day, my best friend for 4 years is leaving me this morning at 7am. I wanted to say thanks to everyone who gave me advice to keep her in shape, the members I met at the central florida meet a few years back, and the members that sold me bits and pieces I was missing or broke along the way. The new owner will be informed of this site and hopefully he will join and all of you will give him the warm welcome, advice, and knowledge that you all gave to me. You are all truly a great bunch of people smile.gif

I'm not ruling out another 6gen in the future so this is not good-bye, more like maybe I'll see you all later.

Thanks everyone.

golden rule of pizza delivery... take the city EPA guide and subtract 5 for actual mileage delivering

i deliver pizza, 18mpg z or 55mpg prius... the difference is about $350 less a month in gas for the prius, the choice became simple.
i really would love for a great gas mileage car that has decent acceleration and looks like the celica or the 300zx or similar and or sporty but to get that you have to spend 100k on a tesla

asking $3000 obo

227k miles runs great

The good
Drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads on all corners @ 215k
fully rebuilt front suspension professionally installed @ 207k
Eibach sportline springs and new struts on all corners @ 207k
4 wheel Alignment @ 207k
Performance header
new clutch, axles, wheel bearings @ 195k
new motor mounts @ 180k
7th gen GTS wheels
alpine power pack audio amp upgrade
4 alpine 6 1/2 two way speakers
kicker 250w sub amp
2 kicker 10" subwoofers in ported enclosures

the bad
slight oil leak maybe the valve cover gasket
slight power steering leak from the rack on the passenger side, sale would include a new rack i just haven't had installed yet
no radio
would need a new radio bezel surround
convertible top needs to be recovered (doesnt leak but the stitching on the edges is weakening)
convertible top needs the motor pins fixed, motors work but won't lift the top without the stress pins replaced
check engine light on for egr insufficient flow since the header was installed.
catalytic converter was straight piped (only bad if you need to inspect for emissions)

pics can be found on my project page linked on my signature
top is currently tan after replacing the convertible top frame

I cut the dash to the size of the nexus 7, then formed a cardboard frame glued to the inside then filled with bondo and covered with felt to make the pocket. It's a snug fit so it stays put even on the bumpiest of roads or sharpest of fast turns.

The audio is bluetooth, I have a bluetooth audio receiver and handsfree kit that plugs into a stereo gain control I have mounted where the cigarette lighter used to be to control volume. That feeds the front Alpine power pack amp and the Kicker sub amp.

Inside the pocket I made in the dash is an LG Wireless Qi charging puck that's positioned specifically for the 2013 Nexus 7 to provide power.

All combined I have a tablet installation that requires no plugging in and out of anything to use the tablet outside of the car. Just push it in place hit play and go.

Many people have a problem with bluetooth audio I found it to be very satisfactory and sounds damn good, but alas I am no audiophile so different strokes... your mileage may vary, What I can tell you is once you start using an android device for a head unit you willl never go back to a "normal" radio.

it also depends on the cel.... my car runs perfect, smooth, tight, great response, and quiet but it has a cel for egr insuf flow from putting a header on it.

wireless chargers for each device ran me $30 on ebay they transfer about 1 amp, they do cause a bit of heat in the transfer but not that bad. under heavy use my tablet will discharge even while on the wireless charger but it will extend the battery enough that i can use the tablet heavy all day and still have 50% or more battery left at the end of the night.

the 1st gen nexus 7 doesn't support wireless charging though
