it looks like a knock-off gt2876r, would be interested to know what the spoolup is like on that, i have the gt2860rs i get spoolup starting at 2200rpm with over 1bar available from 2800rpm.

Everything i've heard about the 2871 and 2876 is that for the extra 20 - 40 HP over the 2860, they dont spool up any usable boost until 4000rpm!

This is an hybrid based on a real Garrett GT2876R, and it has a quite different behaviour from the pure GT2876.

Malpaso, today I had the last test around home before the final mapping on the dyno, and with the latest map
I made on street, the peak boost is at 3800 rpm in 3rd gear, so probably I will gain other rpm when mapping to MBT on dyno in the next days.
As I told, that's so much better than a normal GT2876R I tested on a friend's ST205 that had peak boost at 4200 rpm.

Definitely WAAAAYYY better than GT28RS that, IN MY HUMBLE OPINION, is quite a wrong turbo for a street 3SGTE, as it gives no more power than a CT20B.... but it is my first choice on my 3SGTE-RAV4! wink.gif

Hi All,
these are simply the facts so anyone can judge by him self.

On October the 4th I asked by mail Top End Performance if the item was available.

SAME DAY they replied:
2011/10/4 topend <topend@earthlink.net>
"Yes..These are available. We can ship tomorrow.."

So the SAME DAY I paid for it.

October the 8th I asked if there was any track number,
and the 10th they replied: "2011/10/10 topend <topend@earthlink.net>
Has not shipped yet…Will be leaving tomrorow….Tracking will be emailed automatically… Steve"

Followed more mails from me, and the 24th I received:

"CV xxx xxx xxx US you can track this at www.usps.com
Ruben Frias
Top-End Performance
1-818-764-1901"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Item arrived too late for the November the 1st track meeting, as it arrived the 10th, so no more need of it.

Stelvio (Swiss side) - sunny day up

Mate,
i'm curious as I didn't think there was a Swiss side of the Stelvio!

Strada Statale 38, so the road that goes to and from the Pass, is all in Italy! wink.gif

Or were you referring to Umbrail Pass?

http://maps.google.it/maps?q=passo+stelvio...219727&z=13

Yes in the google maps is that my "Swiss side" as Umbrail Pass.

This picture is from crossing that is 1km from Stelvio Pass

To the left you can ride that my "Swiss side" because I just have not found any sign with name of another pass there... (note: that road is very interesting because part of it on dirty road so you can feel like real rally driver smile.gif

This picture is view from that side (top is the Stelvio, houses bit lower is that crossing mentioned before)

...and this is part of the road it self:

Really recommended to ride it wink.gif

Ah ok thanks Martin, now it's clear... worth driving there!

Ok then, given that I found at least 4 people interested, price for one panel will be 280 euros.
Please let me know IN FEW DAYS if someone is interested, because it'll be a "now or never again" production biggrin.gif

Search for Italian movie "Velocita' massima"...
Even if you will likely understand nothing, as, i think, there is no English version, you will see a Gt-four making races and winning against Deltas and CSW...

Would be interested but would like to see pics

Sorry no pics, as I'm still trying to understand if anyone would be interested.
Anyway it would be just a carbon panel, 5 mm thick, that you will install on the roof in place of the stock glass.

Hi All,
anyone with glass roof equipped T20 Celica that wants to substitute heavy stock glass (5.3 kgs) with 0.8 kgs carbon fiber panel ?

I'm asking because its stamp is quite expensive for just one piece (mine...), and so if anyone else is interested, price will be cheaper.

I know that shipping from Italy to USA would be a lot, but maybe at least 5/6 people are interested and so that won't be a problem...

Bye!

Quite easy... even if it's very time consuming...

That's all! wink.gif

I'm looking to do the same to mine, about how much do those go for and how long did it take you to install?

It costed me around 200$ for the leds, plus around 50$ for glues, wires, resistors, stain, aluminum plates etc etc.
It took me 10 days for the 2 rear lights...

Hello
I just saw that in rainy days some water comes inside the car below the front doors.
So i looked at them and I discovered the water enters because the external lower rubber window gasket leaves a little space between itself and the window.

Question:
is there a way to make the gasket push more against the window?
Thanks!

Thanks Mates!

The only one thing I think I have to solve is that parking lights (1W each) are too luminous...

Wolf do you have more pics please !
and are they for sale?

Ok, let me finish the job! smile.gif

I won't sell them... it would be WAY too expensive:
around 100 high power leds for the 2 lights, custom made aluminum led housing plate, and A LOT of time to open the JDM without broken the glass, modify the taillights housing, insert/glue/connect/weld the leds, close the JDM...

I will do them again only if someone will send me the JDMs already opened biggrin.gif , and with some money $$$$$: it took 5 days to me for ONE light! rolleyes.gif

Nice Job Wolf!

Do you have pics of the parking lights versus the brake lights? (sorry, it all kinda looks the same to me)

Because I didn't connect brake lights yet!
They are the 10 leds switched off under the parking lights...

QUOTE
Also, how are you ensuring the 12V source across LED panel?

I broke stock lamps to get the sockets I weld to the leds... very simple...

How do you find these coilovers compared to Tein SS. I had Tein SS on my car for a very short time but had to remove them. They may be good for track but on typical Irish back roads I spent most of my time avoiding bumps and potholes. Is there full travel on these shocks and what are the roads like where you live in Italy?

I didn't like Tein SS, but this is for sure because my car is 85 kgs lighter in the front...
that's why I removed them and I went to install this BC, I still have to use...
Yes, full travel.

Italian mountain roads, where I use it, are turny and bumpy... we will see how they are...

Hi Ray !!!

As I fitted them too, what about your rear BC - rear tyres clearance ?!?

I found mine to be VERY VERY small with 235/40-17, unfortunately...
