how much would you be willing to offer? I have one that came with the 95 GT I just bought but I'm not sure I really care enough to fix it. |

I myself HATE listening to "DING DING DING DING DING" when my door is open, is there anyway to disconnect it? In my 2003 Hyundai Elantra it was very simple, just unplug it, there was a DIY posted on that forum with pics to help you find the unit.........anyone know where ours is? |

Failed at installing what i didn't realize was 3inch CAI piping from a 90-94 Accord that i also believe was already cut by the previous owner of it, it also didn't have any couplers and I don't like the bypass filter. I'm going to get a proper 2.5-to-3.0inch coupler and I will have to modify the hole. |

And today, I'm going to rig up a way to fasten the rear carpet down some more...the OEM clips/velcro aren't working for me, my heavy sub keep sliding, and said sliding keeps disconnecting the ground and 12v power wire. Or maybe I need to invest in better connectors... I need to do the same, my subs don't slide around too much but more than I'd like them to, if you come up with something really good let me know!!!! |

I like to do as much as I can myself, so could someone give me a how-to on replacing rotors and pads? Thanks in advance. Can't give you a how-to since I've never done it before on a Celica but I can say it should be fairly easy. I did the brakes on my 2003 Elantra GT and after wrecking 2 calipers I finally got the 3rd to work. I failed on the first caliper for over tightening the brake line, and the other one I ripped the rubber boot cause I didn't know there was such a tool as a "rear caliper tool". I assume the Celica is no different and you will require a rear caliper for the rears. Otherwise it's pretty straight forward, you have to remove a part of the caliper off the rotor to remove the rotor and place the new pads. Make sure that whatever brakes you get that you properly bed them in, this involves specific braking for about 10-20 mins depending what pads you get. I personally recommend the Hawk HPS pads if it is strictly a street car. If you do any auto-x or lapping events I recommend the Hawk HP+ pads, I had them on my Cobalt and once they are warm they are like glue, I LOVED them. |

if you are in the rocky mountain area as your name implies, you all get fuel with a lower AKI because of your elevation, and it has been shown to provide the same performance as the higher octane we receive at lower altitude, however i suppose it is plausible that you notice an effect, based on your elevation. edit: anyway, at 5000+ rpm, gas mileage goes out the door, and the engine is only designed to make X power on the fuel it was designed for. .. high octane wont help the 5sfe's mechanical inabilities.... but once again, its your $. im not gonna argue. fair enough, i appreciate any and all input as this is a new car to me. |
