Thanks for the info, no wonder they are hard to find!

UPDATE

Im thinking, after talking to a few people knowledgable on celicas, that the actual hub is probably causing the noise, as well as undue stress on the bearing. inner cvs are rare to fail apparently.... new hub and bearing it is then! smile.gif

Hi all

About a year ago i replaced both inner cv boots on my 94 st202 import due to them being split on both sides. At the time I was worried about a joint failure, but soon forgot about it smile.gif Well now, a year later, It has decided to start shuddering when pulling away, clunking occasionally when changing gear and making a terrible scraping noise on some corners, turning in either direction. Im pretty sure its not the wheel bearing as that was changed less than 15000km ago.

Soooo, my question is, where can I find a brand new spare inner C.V. Joint online, I cannot seem to find one anywhere?

Any help would be appreciated.

ALSO, opinions on whether this is an mot failure would be handy, as its in a couple weeks!

Thanks in advance fo any help provided!

Hi all. This is my first post, been reading on this forum for a while and its a great community. I am thouroughly enjoying my import '94 st202 w/superstrut (already had fun stopping that (superstrut) from clunking and veering around the road!). I noticed a wobble at idle a few months ago after a good thrashing, and have narrowed it down to cylinder number 2 having 8 Bar of compression, compared to the 13-14 present on the other three cylinders. I suspect a burnt exhaust valve and was just wondering how much this is likely to cost, bearing in mind I may as well get them all done at the same time. Im worried about HC emmissions come MOT time....

Also, can anyone recommend anyone who specialises in this engine in my area (Suffolk, East anglia). Ive heard of 3SGE specialists, but google failed me smile.gif

Thanks in advance,

Mike
