as someone who started going to the school gym 2 weeks ago,

go at offpeak hours. i went to the weight room at 930pm and it was packed, took forever to finish. people hoarding dumbbells and chillin and chatting on the machines/benches...ugh.

Hey all, so I'm planning on driving my baby from LA to Vegas this weekend. I didn't think anything of it cause shes been running fine, but my friend's concern (13 year old car, random mishaps, etc.) got me all paranoid.

The longest ive driven was from from LA to the Bay (about 360 miles) 3 years ago. Nowadays the longest she's gone is LA to Riverside (60 miles).

Is there anything I should check out before taking my car on a 5+ hr (traffic) drive? Besides tires/oil/coolant. I don't want to break down somewhere in Death Valley, miles away from a casino!

my subscription expires on monday. finally got bored/didnt have time for the game.

So being extremely busy lately, and with the wind + construction going on around here, my beautiful white celica, my baby, was getting extremely dirty. Yesterday I figured I would go wash my car today, but what then I wake up to the sounds of the pouring rain.

My first thought? YES! Free carwash. Appreciated.

palm springs. nice area, 30 mins to cabazon + morongo (you know whats up) . its just too damn hot.

last year me and my friends went on a cruise, that was really fun. year before that we went camping...cheap, fun, and theres plenty of spots nearby (santa barbara, catalina, etc.)

you go to UCR?

depending on what you two are into and how much time you have you could start in san fran for a few days, take the PCH (pacific coast highway AKA the 1) to santa cruz, santa barbara, solvang, LA for a few days, orange county, san diego for a weekend and that should make for a good trip. personally i have a gambling problem and I love vegas, but the coast does make for a really nice drive.

in LA you should def. check out:
-hollywood (hollywood blvd- the walk of fame, chinese theatre, all kinds of stuff)
-melrose ave...where the really fancy/trendy shops are, if you guys are into that...plus you might see celebs there too
-the beach...santa monica pier/beach is the popular tourist spot but its always crowded and its kinda dirty...if you have time id recomment manhattan beach, its really nice. and right now were in the middle of a damn heat wave (upper 90's in the south bay WTF?) so that should be fun.

anyway, whatever you end up doing have a good time, dress light, and dont take the freeways between 7AM-10AM and 4PM-6PM or the 405 either way ever. EVER.

couple months ago my either i dropped my ipod or it was fumbled around in my backpack but i had a similar problem where i could only hear the left ear unless i positioned/adjusted my headphone plug and held it in some weird position. the problem was the connection within the jack got bent, so it wasnt touching the headphone plug all the way. luckily i had the warranty still and i just took it to the apple store and told them "yeah all of a sudden my left channel went out" and i got a replacement. good luck though.



edit: terminology

Sometimes my left wrist/lower arm and shoulder gets sore because of how I drive, right hand on the stick and left hand at 7/8 on the wheel...i think its an unnatural position to hold my arm in for long periods, esp. with the shock of the car/wheel.

and, if you came in to see a doctor with left arm/left side pains/heartburn, the last thing I would think about is strain from switching gears lol. I hope he ran all the necessary tests/etc. before coming to that "diagnosis"

i dont know if i can make it, but may i suggest PV Drive north to drive, theres a stretch where its really twisty and no stops, and it leads to PCH. Portuguese Bend anyone?

me and my friends used to play this free beta called Red Moon, greatest game ever. Played like Diablo II just on a massive scale and there was no level caps...it was a pretty simple MMORPG.

we got into this game called Conquer awhile back too, its still free as far as i know, and it was just like Red Moon.

as for games I play, WoW currently rules my life, with CS:Source a distant 2nd.

actually, if i read correctly, theres weights in the handles to recreate the forces.

still dumb as hell though.

im going with my friend in his supra, hopefully theres some hot 6gcs and i get to meet some of you guys
