Just trying to have heat with the engine off for a few hours. Fan motor is wired to the accessory battery so it won't kill the starting battery. Both optimas. |

My job requires me to be on the road a lot (96 7afe celica). Mostly in the winter time. You could prolly tell if you saw the interior... Mini fridge. 10 inch android tablet and mobile hotspot for internet. 1000 watt inverter. Isolated accessory battery.. I usually just put the seat back, watch netflix and sleep in the car. If I shut the car off I only have heat for a few minutes obviously, and I dont want to leave it running because of exhaust... I want to install a little water pump on the heater hose or radiator hose depending on how the flow should work. Could anyone recommend a pump? And where should I install it? This will only be ran when the engine is off.. Sorry for the strange question but google turned up nothing. |

Well this will be going on my st.. good ol 7afe. It's a 25th anniversary edition tho I don't wanna ever get rid of it even if it's slow as balls lol. I will figure something out this weekend hopefully. Between putting a head on my mr2 and this.. and rotating my tires I hope i even have time |

They are very similar as far as I know and that thing looks like the mount holes are just like my power steering bracket. That might just be what I need right there. I can handle the wiring. |

A charging system only for my fridge.. ya know.. only for the inverter and the subs. And the stock alt does its normal job powering the red top under the hood. So when I get in this car after work at 2 am I can run my lights and have my yellowtop be charged back up after running a fridge for 10 hours and not worry about my alternator being overloaded because I know it is. So if the alt that charges the yellowtop everyday goes out I won't be stuck on the side of the road Yes I have a fridge in my car because people at my work steal food.. it's isolated from my starting battery so it doesn't kill it leaving it on. And I have a 92 mr2 so I'll look into that. They have 2 places to mount an alt on that 5sfe. Maybe I'll get lucky. I'll let you all know how it goes. |

I want to put a second alternator where my power steering pump is on my 7afe.. haven't had power steering since November because when I swapped my engine one of the lines got busted and I'm not too concerned with having it. Just wondering how you guys would go about doing this. I have a battery isolator. Red top optima under the hood. Yellow top in the back for my mini fridge (don't ask) on a 1000 watt pure sine inverter. And also for my 4 12s in the hatch. So obviously the second alternator will be for the yellowtop. That way I can get rid of the isolator and have a second charging system for all my addons. I know it can be done. How would you guys mount the alt? |

My question is in the title. If I manage to turn the distributor would that work? Or is there a way to do it with the cams? Thanks. Sorry if it's a stupid question. |

There's a hole in the head that goes into the Mani for egr. I have it running now... But now my problem is on the interstate it randomly blows thick clouds of oil smoke. Valve stem seals? |

Its off a 7a for sure. I know the 5s is mounted at a different angle. I can tell the engines apart pretty easily. I'm going to the junkyard in about an hour to pull a head off a 96 so I'll have egr and no worry about head lining up. Good thing i bought the 4 dollar warranty lol. |

Definitely a 7a head. Just non egr. Do the water jackets line up on all A engines? I haven't pulled my head all the way yet. Dont wanna chance anything rusting. Not gonna take it all the way off till I'm 100% sure I have the right one. I'm just going to the yard in morning and pulling one off a 96 with egr. Mines a 96 so everything should be dandy then. Ita def an A head. Narrow valve angle slave cam setup. |

Pretty sure. Should the coolant passages be the same on 95 and 96? This is all the junkyards fault too because they marked the car I got the head from as a 96. Turns out its a 95! Grr. I just really hope I can make this one work because I've already cleaned it up really well. |

Bottom end is fine. It still ran just on 3 cylinders. Have to drive about 80 miles home like that. Are the 7a's pistons iron or aluminum? Really hoping they're iron |

It made quite an amazing amount of torque. 65 wet shot. Cylinder 1 got lean because its farthest from the intake. Melted the aluminum in combustion chamber so valves can't seat. . This hole I'm talking about is on the right side of the intake side of the head. If you're looking at the engine from the front of the car. Is it egr? Can post pictures tomorrow. My first guess was a water passage. So any way to make this head work or do I need to go back to the junkyard Edit: yeah I'm about 90% sure its egr now... I guess this is a question if it'll work or not. Egr delete? I don't care about cel. Will it affect driveability? |

I'm replacing the head on my 96 celi. Fried some valves with nitrous... Lol.. Learned my lesson tho. Anyway. I've noticed this new head I picked up doesn't have a water outlet for the intake manifold. And mine does.. Can I just drill a hole? It looks like it would be fine. But I want expert opinion. And does the intake really need coolant going through it? Thanks in advance. Need am answer asap so I can get back on the road. 7afe btw |

its an old 7afe. but removing the wheel does sound like the best idea. this will be tight since this side of my car is a little damaged from a deer hit recently. does the a/c belt have idler pulley? |

I just need a little reassurance before i go rip all my belts off. My alternator belt is fine, was replaced about 6 months ago with the alternator. Where do I loosen the power steering belt? and is there an idler pulley on the a/c belt? and if so where? thanks for the help |

So what should I get a 3sgte? I don't want a v6 I just like turbos And how much would you think it would cost to get it professionally done? So I don't have to mess with it. I want more power tho the 7afe is boring |

Anyone know the best place to buy an engine? Online or anything around Louisville, Ky? I'm trying to get a 4agze for my 96 celica st. I was planning to get a 3sgte, but it seems the 4agze is cheaper and easier to swap and still get quite a bit of power. I plan to take the supercharger off and use a turbo. Whats the best kit for a 4agze? |

I've seen that on the internet before too, In fact when I was trying to install the other gauge I was wishing I had it. I took that other gauge back already so it'd be great if you found what brand it was |

I have a SunPro water temp gauge and the temperature sender is too big to fit in the thermostat housing, so does anyone know an alternative place to put it? And if not, is there anywhere to put it to be an oil temp gauge? |
