also how does the power increase from 1st to 5th gear. i mean how do the engine and trans work to increase your speed through each gear.

thanx a lot

it's cool. i was expecting ppl to say dat.
i said it's negotiable. WAYYYYYYYY negotiable.
it's a shell. okay. but it has a fairly good amount of werk done to it.
u could either rebuild the engine or swap.

body work alone cost me 3000. 2000 for paint job plus 700 body kit and 300 for the wing. and once again im including all the stock parts. (stock bumpers, and bump guards, and stock gt spoiler.) also vis zephyr style rear lip and side skirts will b included.

check my sig for pics.

errthin goes except the sound system and audio related items.

im askin for 3000 (negotiable) has engine problem. you WILL need to swap.

also im including all stock parts that came out when installing the body kit.

juss throw me a price and take it away.

not willing to part out or ship separate pieces. too much money and work. juss take it all. askin 2000.

i aint puttin the car down in any sense. im really lookin to buy one, but i honestly dun know if crankwalk is all hyped up. i hope it is. cuz i dun wanna get it. for now im juss dreamin of turbo and 4wd handling. hm~~~~ sweet

one more thing. crankwalk was found on completely stock cars that have been taken care of in a religious manner. i talked to this baby-boomer aged guy, he had all oil changed done on time and all the other maintenance. he never raced it. and got crankwalk around 50k miles.

i've looked into gsx's a lot lately. all the concerns about fragile and faulty turbo's are due to CRANKWALK. there's a lot of 2nd gen 4g63 dat hab this problem and mitsu and chrysler won't recall it.
the crankwalk problen once you get it is not fixable most of the times. very few have been fixed. u'll prolly hab to swap. i've heard about cases that get crankwalk even after swaps. so look into that.

signs of crankwalk:
clutch gets stuck on the bottom.
trouble shiftin gears after hard left turn.
"tick"ing noise around the timing belt area.
those are juss some signs and the ones that happen towards the end.
again all the mechanical troubles buggin the 2nd gen eclipses are due to crankwalk.thrust bearings, crankshaft, rod bearing, thrust sensor, timing belt, and many more.

now that my celi is dead im lookin into gsx too. and the biggest drawback is this crankwalk issue. this issue seems to be most prevalent in the 95,96, some 97 and some 98.
99's havent come up wif the problem yet. but never know.
one fix to this seems to b a swap with the 1st gen 4g63, which was built slightly different and it seems to b free from crankwalk. plus it's got a better blow off valve.
hope this helps you.

QUOTE (NEVERSTOP @ Jan 10, 2004 - 8:14 AM)
I thought I had heard something about the 4th gen 3sgte not fitting into our cars?  I could be wrong though just kinda got this little bell ringin in my head telling me that I read that somewhere but you would think that it would fit being an "s" series motor and all.

I personally would think that it would be hard to get parts for it - kinda like it is with the 205.

the 185 is alot eaiser to get parts for wink.gif

QUOTE
Except for visual emissions, due to the lack of an EGR system, which is required on newer USDM cars.

that depends on where you live... where I'm from I can put anything I want under the hood and they will never check biggrin.gif but alot of places are really strict about it

You'd be able to put it in, but wiring would be quite the nightmare I'm guessing because it's such a new engine. wink.gif

And about the emissions, it's the same way where I live. No emissions at all. tongue.gif

lucky bastards!!! mad.gif thumbsdown.gif

dat is rite. no poly kits for us. mostly fibergalss. u got original veilside kits that cost thousands, but fit is guaranteed and they make their kits with a mix of fiberglass and carbon fiber.

thanx for the comments guys. greatly appreciated. i do not want to part ways wif my car, but my parents are patyin for the expenses. i hab some money of my own which could be enough to get a front clip from jarco. however i do not hab the money to proceed wif the swap. my parents are not willing to shell out any for a swap. thus the idea of a swap is scratched. i've dreamed about a 3sgte under my hood even before i came through this site. and i thought i could make it come true when i got here. however, things never go as planed and i never got near the swap. i'll prolly b disappointing a lotta peeps. and im sorry. i luv my 6gc as much as all of u do.

once again this is a great site and i do not want to leave.

sorry for the long post.

the GT's and ST's require different headers but no matter what year celica, if it fits a 95 st, it will fit all 6gc st's

they say 95-98 gt/st/gts???

First is the 20-250-43G-1G ($392.00) rated @ 150Amps "HOT" (185Amps "COLD") next is the 20-275-43G-1G ($454.00) rated @ 175Amps "HOT" (210Amps "COLD") and last is the 20-300-43G-1G ($534.00) rated @ 200Amps "HOT" (240Amps "COLD"). i can do it on my celi. matter of fact i go driftin with my friends. they have 240's, mr2, what not. i have a very wide accel pedal and i use sneakers.

accelerate preferably over 3rd or 4th gear. step on the brake. while letting go off the brake a lil bit, step on the clutch and with ur heel tap the accel. and downshift. start to turn pull the brake while ur keepin ur foot on the accel. then u'll feel ur rear losing grip. turn ur wheel the opposite way u first turned ur wheel. and there u hab it. FWD DORIFTO~~~~. doesnt look as fancy as rwd drifts but it's good enough to hab a lotta fun. hope it helps
