So I didn't really want to do this, however after the way things went with my old room mate when I moved out over the weekend I don't really have much of a choice. Currently selling my 1997 Celica GT Hatch. Car is black, although some of the paint could use touched up. Garage kept, clean body other than a couple of dings here and there. The head on the car locked up a few years ago and I just haven't had the time to fix it. Car has been constantly kept in a garage since and for 6 years before the head went. I did take the head apart to see about repairing it and unless you're really into rebuilding heads I would just replace it. Car will also need new rear wheel bearings and probably tires. All other parts that have been removed are still in the car as well ready to be reinstalled. Car is located in central PA and does have a clean title. I need this to be gone by tuesday, 3/29/16. It will need to be towed out. This celica has a short throw shifter, is lowered 2", and the windows are tinted to 20%. The rims are original alloy rims that were refinished in black about a year before I had to put it in storage. Overall the car is in good condition other than the problem with the head. Currently asking $700 OBO. I also have the original owners manual in the car and the Haynes manual for it. pictures of car available once I get back out there to snap some, however I can provide photos from just before it went into storage.

Thanks!
Jonathan

I actually have a 97 GT that's been in storage for a few years because I haven't had time to get around to replacing the head on it. Black, 5 speed, short throw shifter, 20% tint on windows, lowered 2 inches. Ran great until the head went on it and the timing belt got shredded. It's in central PA currently so not very far from you. It will also need new wheel bearings, but other than that the body is in really good shape (no rust, however there are a few small dings and dents from over the years, it is almost 20 years old after all). All the parts that were taken off are still in the car and it just needs to be reassembled. I also have the haynes manual for it. I could let you have it for around $700. Title is clean. Will need to be towed out though.

I finally got lowering springs installed on my 97 GT and figured I might as well sell my original springs since they're still in great condition. The car didn't sag at all and the springs still have their, well, spring. I figured I'd put them up for anyone that needs a stock set for winter (my car is garage kept in winter) or if they're selling their 6g and want to take it back to stock ride height. Price is $50 plus cost of shipping if you don't want to pick them up or meet me somewhere in the pittsburgh area to get them.

Have fun in Dubai.. A friend of mine literally JUST caught her flight back from there today. I'm hoping I'll be able to get an order in by Tuesday for my kit. Thanks for the offer to 6GC members!

QUOTE (Lama @ May 1, 2011 - 7:38 PM) *
lol I'm looking for the right one. Could we still buy these new?

Not sure if we can or not.. I'm not a big fan of the toyota dealers here in pitt so that's going to be my last resort.. I'll give them a call today and let you know if they are still able to supply them.. I really hope so because it's the little pieces like this that are almost impossible to find and really bother me.

I finally got another celica after going almost a year without a car, however one thing that I'm missing that would make my life a lot easier is the left clip that holds the cargo cover/deck lid in place in the hatch when it's opened. This is the clip that the bar on the back of the deck lid clips into, not the hooks for the lines to connect the lid to the hatch itself. Anyone have a spare that I could buy? Not finding any online and REALLY not able to find any 6gc's in a yard anywhere nearby to get the clip.

Well, it's about time for me to get another Celica, just about have the money to purchase one, however the 5 6th gens that were for sale in my area are either gone or automatics. I live in western pa just outside of pitt and am looking for a 6th gen celica GT in good shape that doesn't need work to pass inspection. I can spend up to $2500. If anyone would like to sell one to me just send me pics and specs and let me know what's wrong (if anything) with it.. Prefer black, however I'm not above repainting the car..

Thanks!

Jonathan
