i use redline oil in my e153, i mixt it, 50% redline best oil 50% redline for winter so it shift good all years long, the oil you are using in your transmission can be upgrade by adapting it to the temperature of where you lives, |

Thats probably the nicest conversion i've seen, and it still looks like **** lol. The rear end is just too big and does not flow with celica lines at all. Tail lights are also too low down the rear compared to the supra. from my opinion , i dont like how the front and rear came out, look too big , i dont like this conversion because the supra is a really beautiful car, and celica as well, but they cannot be mixte well together, at least you can try the current front conversion, or transform some front aftermarket bumper to make look special |

Answer: The throw out bearing likely went bad. That's very common. But before you condemn it, get someone to operate the pedal while you observe the clutch lever at the bell housing. If the lever fails to move or moves little, check for fluid in the master cylinder. If there is a low fluid level top it up. You may have to bleed the system. If still no movement suspect the clutch master cylinder. If fluid is dripping from the bell housing or clutch cylinder the slave cylinder needs re-sealing/replacing. If all appears normal, there is a phosphor-bronze bushing in the centre of the flywheel (the throw out bearing) which can seize onto the gearbox input shaft. i just found that anwser very useful, but what about the clinkkkk sound ive heard when the tob seize ? what can it be, one spring on the clutch ? suggestion ? should i buy a new clutch, or do i need to buy all the clutch setup whit pressure plate and flywheel |

srry for long time no reply, i just think ist the clutch bearing that burn up, because when i swapped, (i have 3sgte and mr2 tranny) i forgot to put grease on the bearing, after i changed my thermosthat and for the first time since my swap, the engine get heat (up to normal temp, ) and the bearing just burn two day after, cause no grease into it, i think its what happend, and now need to remove the transmission and change the bearing no leak from clutch master |

i was on the street yester day and its starting smelling burn , and i heard a noise like `>ping> and the clutch stop working, so i drove the car in 2nd gear to home, at neutral: if i push the clucht, -feel loose, but the pedal come back -when i push the clutch , the rpm goes downs and almost shut down the engine, what happen ? do i have to get a new clutch or a new cylinder clucht? do i have to open the tranny? thanks |

Temperature sits at normal when the car is sitting still, and goes down when driving? Exactly the symptoms of a thermostat stuck open. The problem is, as richee3 said, that the coolant keeps circulating even when it's too cold. The temperature gauge reads the temperature on the engine. The problem is that the wind from driving cools the radiator, which then sends cold coolant into the engine (why your temperature gauge goes down) and into the heater core (why your cabin heat goes down). You can test your thermostat in a pot of water on the stove. Put the thermostat in the water, and bring it up to 82C. The thermostat should then open. My guess is that either it's stuck open, or it's opening at too low a temperature. When you replace the thermostat, remember to get a new thermostat gasket as well. thanks for reply, the thermosthat was moving bad itself, when about to close, it slide on the side , and stay open (the inside part of thermosthat is loose) i will just get a new one |

hi, i have a problem whit my third gen 3sgte, no pressure in the rad after driving, water almost cold the engine temp will get to normal temperature if i let the car running whitout driving it, but soon as i get in the road, the engine indicated the temp going cold, if i go on the highway, it take 2 minute and , the temp going to cold and water indicate no temp at all, so if i check the engine, the radiator stop receive water from the engine when i accelerating or just iddle on highway, and temp going all down, and the heater stop working (no heat inside ) i just removed the thermostat, but the problem persist, on the highway, i stop at a gas station and let the car running, and it immediatly getting heat into the radiator and the temp gauge and water gauge going up, the water stop going in the engine from the rad when driving !! plz help me |
