Hey,

I am looking to sell my car asap, check out the ad below. Pics are in my profile.

1996 Toyota Celica - ST Coupe, Black exterior and Grey Cloth interior - Only 85,000 Miles.

This car is my first car and it is great. It has never had any mechanical trouble. Some of the standard features of the car include:

1. Automatic Transmission
2.Power steering
3. Power Windows
4. Spoiler
5. Tilt Steering wheel
6. Air Conditioning

In addition I have added a few things.

1. MP3 Single disc CD player with removable faceplate and remote control. The cd player will play both regular cds and any mp3 cds that you may burn on your computer. The faceplate is removable to deter theft, you can lock it in the glove compartment or take it with you.

2. I also replaced the temporary spare tire (donut) with a full sized spare. So if you get a flat, you can change the tire and keep on going without any limitations or worries.

Additionally, I do not smoke so the interior of the car is smoke free.

I am selling the car because I will be moving out of state for school and cannot bring it with me.

The asking price is $4000. You can view the car any time between now and Thursday, January 25 (I leave for school on Friday). Car is in Miami, FL.

Email me at damionrdunn@hotmail.com or call me at 305-984-1771.

Thanks.
Damion

I was surfing around the site & seeing that most people talk about a 1 inch, 1.5 or 1.75 max drop.

Then I came across this member profile which has a "lowered front 4" and back 3" by H&R" Is this for real? & If so what are the disads? is there rubbing with this height & some 18 inch tires. Is the ride unbearably bumpy & bouncy?

I'm pretty new to suspension issues, let me know,

thanx

doGGy, no doubt you had not only a plan, but a good plan. But how important do you think it is and what inspired it?

So bc I'm thinking of switching to another 6gc, lately I've been attempting to come up with a complete and total vision of my car.

Now don't get me wrong, i think even if you don't have a masterplan, your celi will look nicer than most other cars but what makes some 6gc's look great rather than good is I think vision, planning before you spend 1 dollar.

Making sure that you wheels match your overall style. That your spoiler and bodykit are complimentary, that you picked a color scheme & tastefully incorporate it in all you mods. For instance if you have blue neon underbody lights I'd think blue would be a major part of you cars overall color theme, but sometimes its the only blue thing on the whole car confused.gif

Now i know we will all never agree on whats good or not, but i think the majority can agree on a car thats great.

So do you have a masterplan?

The idea of keeping both is nice but, prob not too realistic (being the college student and all) frown.gif Plus if if I can make a little profit and get the cheaper gt, could prob move right into either an engine swap or getting a gt-4 hood & bumper.

But yesterday I'm driving home and I totally lose power steering. I wasn't far from my house thankfully. So I get there & pop the hood & one of my belts is shredded. So I'm pissed bc I changed my water pump & belts a few months ago & there's no way in hell it could go bad this fast. So I wanted to go check out the gt today but I gotta get this fixed first. I'll be callling the mechanic who worked on it before & making them do a housecall or something bc I'm not paying for a tow & to fix their mistake.

Yea, there definitely are natural LHD GT-4's. If you look in the GT-4 post at the top I'm sure someone had put a link to some LHD gt-4's in Europe for sale. I think the problem was still whether you could import them or not and they are a little pricier than gt-4's from Japan. In the long run though cheaper than a LHD conversion.

So like the title says, i'm about to swap my 96 ST Coupe Auto for a 95 GT Liftback Manual. My st is my first car & I love it but looking long term I want a gt, manual liftback.

I didn't know much about cars or celica's in general when I got her so now that I know a little I feel like I want to make the switch. I bought my current car for around 6k and she has 65000 miles. I haven't done much to her yet, so although I'm really attached to having a 6gc, i'd be ok switching. The gt is being sold for around 4k with 125000 miles. I trust in the quality of toyota's engine and I plan to do a engine swap at some point so the miles don't really bother me.

I think I might just buy the GT straight up & sell my st myself. Because I feel its worth more than the car I'm getting and the dealer prob won't have a trade in worth more than the car he's selling.

But hey, gimme your advise, whether to attempt a trade in or not? stick with the st? tips of getting a better price in either buying or selling, lemme know. thanks

I'd advise to paint it yourself also, I think there's a How-To on it on the site. I've checked out powdercoating & its a really expensive proposition, I mean big bucks. Even finding someone here to do such a small job was a pain.

Coomer,

Maybe in order to protect the people on the site, both buyers & sellers, we could create some guidelines. For instance when mailing a check or money order, use certified mail so you have proof & when shipping a product, you would def have documentation, including a tracking number.

Also before buying & selling people can exchange contact info or submit it to the site for verification, phone #'s, address, email etc.

That would help us be able to decide whats true and a feedback section would work.

If you for sure want to try something new, I'd say go for the 240sx or a 300zx. Both very nice cars, with lots of potential, speed & looks wise.

Any updates on these mirrors? I'm thinking about getting them but not if they are scams, trying to pawn off civic lights.
