hey guys just letting everyone know my car is for sale. i have it listed online at 7900 price to get rid of the low ball offers but i am serious about selling and will come down some to better price for it. if you have cash in hand money feel free to email since im almost never on the forum anymore.
pics are posted in the.... LINK BELOW!!!!

http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/cto/2730660983.html

If i dont sell pretty soon i will be parting out its mods going back to stock motor just to sell it for less. I know I got a crap ton of parts installed that easily make this a awesome deal either way it goes. I'm getting out of the celica biz. May do trades with cash but u gota have something I can sell quick to make up the differnce if u know what i mean. I gota get some decent amount of cash tho!

QUOTE (Mycurse180 @ Aug 13, 2011 - 4:15 PM) *
I'll tell you straight up,

if I saw your Celica, I would think wow...some 16yr old trying to look like cool or trying to look like 2fast 2furious.
I would be embarrassed to drive that car at my current age of 22, let alone 31!

It's not the car that's the problem, it's how you made the car look.

Return the body to stock with some nice wheels and then it'd be much more clean and presentable.

I built the car when I was 20. The stuff I did was actually cool way back that long ago! Just isn't as cool now. It's done 100% the right way which is what really matters to me. No cutting corners doing things halfazz is what makes it cool even if the style is not up to date.

You say that you have all new cap and rotor and wires and plugs? Pull all plugs out and look for them to spark while someone turns motor over...if all work put back in. If not go check dizzy parts. If that checks out ok Then go right to the injectors and test them and their wiring. Did you do compression check after you blew turbo? Maybe more than just the turbo had failure....

I am looking for a four door tacoma to do everything I need and be a perfect daily mix of room and hauling and sporty enough to make me not miss all my cars and all the bs that seems to follow someone into the car scene. I tend to get bored I guess and just want to build something new all the time but every car scene is not different from the other. I just don't like the hating on each other I see everywhere and it is stupid. Even on this site where everyone is supposed to love the celica I see posting all the time where people hate on others for doin diff mod choices. Why?
You guys probably don't know ( some of you do) I have owned about 44 different cars and built some wild rides. I was doing swaps way way back in the day! Way before all the hold your hand how to swap a motor write-ups. Us old guys figured stuff out by trying parts and finding out it fit or not. The young guys i get looks from dont realize us old guys paved the way for all them to just go and read step by step swap threads. Some quick examples of my cars so you know I got a variety in my background...I have Built three mr2s, swapped a few gc imprezas, built a mean wrx, 3000gt, a supra that I put a huge turbo on and enjoyed the targa top! Built a custom turbo kit for a v6 eclipse from scratch. Built a turbo kit for a buddy who had a focus and the list goes on. I've gone drift style and built a s14 240 that I swapped a skyline rb25 motor into and put a nasty big turbo on it as well. I can build anything and I do all the work myself so it don't cost me anything as far as labor. Just parts! But anyway, after all the diff cars i built nonmatter what it was if it was sporty or fast or beat up cause I rallied it in the woods and hauled a huge picnic table on its roof...it was a turbo legacy, um ya. The moral of the story is that Someone will always hate on you or your car when you have something that stands out. maybe I'm going to just blend in to avoid all the negative bs. I will miss the positive tho!

The celica likes to spit and spray stones everywhere on my driveway. It's hard to not spin wheel going up my driveway unless you have an awd vehicle cause the stones are just laying loose and roll easily. It's just gravel! There is no way I would use this car to tow something. Maybe I should post pics up from my profile so you guys better understand.

Is not just the looks. I like being different but I don't want to be singled out everywhere either. There are other factors too. I live on a big hill and I have a 330 foot long stone driveway the celica is not happy going up. And having a car I drive less than 3000 miles a year is fun but not practical. I also kinda need a truck or suv vehicle for hauling items. I borrow a truck every other week it seems. While I do love the car, i think to myself a nice 4 door Tacoma with a set of rims might be all I need? Maybe? I'm Going to post a topic in the for sale area and see what happens. I won't be giving this away the point is to make money back and be able to get funds for a truck to avoid having a payment. If its not going to work out I will keep it and just start driving it more often so I don't feel it is a waste sitting in the garage.

Well, I am posting this to see what u guys think. I'm 31 now and have a kid and when I drive my car around it gets so much attention it makes me feel like its too flashy for me. Don't get me wrong now...I love the car and it's sooo much fun but I just feel like when my kid jumps out of the back people look at me like "holy cow a little kid just rode in that!" I own a house and have a family now I should just get a normal car and stop with having a daily and having a garage queen that my kid thinks is a waaaaaa zoooooom car. I'm selling the whole swap and putting back to na to sell off everything at a more reasonable price. It will be a sad day when it druves away but I'm sure it will make someone super happy.

Make sure the middle size vac tube from under the tb(the iac hose) is breathing easy. And the vac switching valve is not clogged up with gunk too. Take of the tb and clean out the port for the iac with some carb cleaner. Idle should be nice and smooth after that. Unless u got a random vac leak hiding somewhere.

Free bump.
Man I really like the fender roll look with the staggered wheels. Toyota should have made the celica like that from factory with a rear drive version. Nice job guy. Who did the roll/pull on it? The wheels really set it off too!

Don't do it. A bunch of parts that would not fit or work well and need lot of modification And customizing so don't do it!

A map sensor that is wrong will let the car run but run crappy. So yes it could be not letting the ecu throw u the code cause it sees a working map sensor and don't know that it is the wrong one. U can use the 310 or the 050 but not the one u have!

Sounds like u got the wrong map sensor with ur swap A third gen map sensor should have a purple label on top and there is no way a regular gt map sensor is the same.

I just had the map sensor code and it made my car super rich too. Did u test the sensor output to see what ur base voltage is without car running... And then test it when at idle. Mine ended up being bad
