I'm just going to let my insurance handle it all. I don't really feel any effects resulting from the crash. The only thing is that I seem to be having headaches fairly often. I honestly could care less, I'd rather not deal with all the hassle. As far as buying the car back from the insurance company, I'm not too sure if that will happen. I'm just way too busy right now to do anything like that.

This is what happened to the best of my recollection. Some parts may be incorrect.

So anyway, I was driving to school on Tuesday morning and was coming to a T intersection. The light turned yellow and I continued to drive into the intersection. A driver coming from the other direction made a left-hand turn in front of me and right into my path. I swerved to the right but was unable to miss the driver. Needless to say, I nailed the front-end of the truck going less than about 30 at the time of the collision. My car is totalled and most likely the truck is totalled as well. The front of the driver's side is smashed to hell, the windsheild is cracked, and both airbags deployed.

The last I heard, no one is hurt at all except for myself. I was not severely injured but I believe that I suffered a concusion due to a bump on my head and some memory loss. My hand was cut, I had minor ankle pain yesterday, and I have a nice bruise on my right side.

I'm fairly pissed off about losing the Celica but on top of that I'm going to lose about $2000 from what I could have sold the Celica for and what I'm getting from the insurance company. (I had some plans to sell the Celica before the accident.)

It does suck but **** happens I guess... I don't know.

It should probably be about the same except you gotta deal with the height of the 1MFZE. I think its about 2-3 inches taller than the hood will allow. I'm pretty sure that the guy with the 5th gen ran into the same problem. I'll have to look at his write-up, I haven't heard about this thing for a while.

I've also seen a bunch of 94-99 Eclipses with 6 cylinders as well on Autotrader. Maybe they just didn't release those versions to the public, or maybe there is just some huge government conspiracy...

i agree that mk3 supras are incredibly heavy. Even with a turbo, they arent going to accelerate all that fast

91 supra'

0 - 60 : 7.1
1/4 mile : 15.6

thats quite a bit faster then the celica i believe

Thats a modified or a turbo supra. Stock NA Supras should only hit about 16 seconds.

By the way, my friend had an 89 or 90 Supra and the engine messed up real bad only after about 3000 miles of owning it. It probably had around 130,000 miles. It seemed as though something was wrong with it considering my GT with just an intake tied him in a race...

wait jinx products is his company?? **** i was about to order some headers from there!!

you mean a header?

Why is the "s" on the end of "header" so evil. Just leave it be, is one letter really all that bad? Why does the letter "s" always get a bad rap? I uh.. don't know where I'm going with this...

Yeah, not a good situation with celicapres. He was also trying to do a hood group buy that seem extremely sketchy to me. More along the lines of complete bull ****.

Maaco seems reasonable until you realize that the people working there have stolen enough out of your car to pay for a good paint job at a body shop.

My friend's dad had over $200 if not $400-$500 worth of tools and extra things stolen out of his work van while being painted at Maaco. Not too sure if he was able to get paid back for that.

Well, I know that the gas tank holds 16 gallons, but I wanted to know how much is in the tank when the warning light comes on to get gas. I flipped through my manual and couldn't find it. (Maybe I'm just blind...)

QUOTE (MoralWarfare @ Feb 22, 2004 - 11:51 PM)
thanks for the links and info. I perosnally wouldn't risk damaging my crank, even if it supposedly wouldn't do it harm, just because the gains are so minimal. But, at least now I'm smarter!

Yeah, the rumors about damage to the crank has scared me from getting an underdrive pulley. Even though I am almost sure they are false due to the numerous websites with proof that disprove the rumors, its better to be safe than sorry just for 5-6 horsepower, 7-10 torque (according to the dynos on UR's website of similar cars).

I'll be in depending on where it is. I'd probably be able to go as far as 150 miles, but that'd be hard for me.

I'd be in for Cecil County considering its not too far away. Not too sure about the NE meet. I'm gonna check on that next.

Pulleys make waste of the stock harmonic balancer

Most cars don't have a harmonic balancer that would be affected if you took off the underdrive pulley and put an aftermarket one on.

You may want to check this page out... http://www.greghome.com/Greg's%20Garag...ve%20Pulley.htm

Same type of thing happened to my friend's Jeep. I was following one kid who was going about 70 out of a driveway type thing onto a real road (no turn, the drive way became the road) and my friend in his Jeep was following me. A van pulled out behind my friend and started to follow him (no lights, no siren, unmarked car) and when my friend stopped, 3 cops came out and took my friends out of the jeep and started searching the car. One of my friends told the cops that was illegal and the cops just brushed it off. Then they left once they found nothing.

I'd assume that a company would want to improve an engine through increasing power, gas mileage, etc. Just an observation on the power, I could be wrong...

The new 5S-FE has 1 more horsepower and 5 more torque. Its interesting how it takes them 10+ years to get that little amount of extra power out of the engine...

Well since it looks like this thing isn't going to happen, I'll probably spend the money I was going to use for this on an exhaust. But if this thing does go through, I'm still in. I don't see this thing going through anytime soon (if it does at all) so I will have money for it by then...
