I really need to free up some space in the garage, so.... NEW DEAL: If you live in Michigan and can pick up, the wheels and tires are FREE. That's right, folks, FREE. You must be a member of 6GC to qualify. I'll ebay the hubcaps, unless you'd like to work something out. The stock springs are also FREE. Again, pick up only. I've had a few emails about the roof rack, but no takers. 94celigts has spoken for the doors. I am still awaiting payment for the SRI. I would really prefer to give stuff to someone in the community. Let's make this happen. |

roof rack only for hatchbacks? according to the thule fit guide, both coupes and hatchbacks can use the same feet (400XT) and fit kit (#231). i've only had it set up for my hatch, but it shouldn't be an issue to put it on a coupe. email me at thinoxygen@gmail.com if you're interested |

I have a set with practically new Continental Extreme Contacts, painted gunmetal. I used to live in Lake Orion, actually - I can deliver (free shipping!). The car is for sale and I have a spare set of wheels/tires, so I might be willing to sell them separately for the right price. PM if you're interested. |

I forgot to put "FS" in the title of my thread, never had a chance to fix it before it got deleted...so here's attempt #2. Apologies to the faster-than-lightning mods and any interested parties. I'm cleaning out my garage, and have a few parts taking up valuable real estate. All prices are without shipping, here's the breakdown. TRD Rear Strut Bar - pretty good shape, some light rust around bolt holes and some scrapes in the paint. Straight and otherwise perfect. Does NOT include the padded sleeve or panel covers, but if you want to trade for the set I've already cut to accommodate it, let me know. SOLD! ![]() Custom Short Shifter - hand-fabbed by yours truly, a modified TIG-welded version of the stock lever. Fits right into the stock base and uses the same clips, boot, and knob. Not perfect, but works well. Sale Pending! ![]() Full Set (4) 2003 Corolla steel wheels with tires - I bought them as winter wheels, but since I don't plan on driving my Celica in the snow ever again, I won't be needing them. They are 15x6.5" with 5x100mm bolt pattern. They will clear stock GT brakes all around. No bends, paint is in okay shape, mounted with off-brand all seasons (205/55-15) that are in fair shape. $150 ![]() Full Set (4) Corolla 5-star Hubcaps - Original Toyota, some nicks but no cracks or big chips. I preferred the look without them, so I only used them for a week or so. I'll throw them in for free with the wheels, otherwise they're $30. ![]() Bendix Rear Brake Shoes for ST - bought them by mistake. Brand new in the box, replace 'em CHEAP, $20 ![]() RANDOM PARTS (best offer) Stock springs Stock airbox assembly All parts can be picked up from my house just north of Detroit (or I can deliver within a reasonable distance for gas money or something) or will be shipped USPS or UPS according to size. Paypal only, please. Thanks for looking! -Alex |

i just started riding this year on a 79 cb750. at first i got a lot of remarks about the 750 being a lot of bike for someone just getting into the sport, but it's actually served me well. older medium-displacement bikes are plentiful, inexpensive, reliable, and easy to repair. while the 750 has enough power for the freeway and such, it's slower-revving and more subdued than a more modern, high-revving sportbike and as such, easier to keep a lid on. i'm actually looking for a project bike for the winter, and it will most likely be something similar. i took the msf basic rider course at the local community college and i 100% recommend it. most states offer them, and it's hands-down the best $25 i've ever spent, period. an unsolicited comment on gear - a bit of advice i was given by a guy who nearly died in a motorcycle wreck years ago: buy the best gear you can possibly afford, and always dress as though you KNOW you're going to crash. i have a joe rocket alter ego and it's great. |
