I don't think Honda/Acura will stop making the RSX. They just revamped the engine for 2005. Those things sell like hotcakes. I'll believe it when i see it. I can understand the s2000. Those wern't intended to be big sellers. They are more of a novelty car.(that kicks arse!)

The add is also in Japanese, so it probably isnt for the 5SFE enigne anyways. And i thought the reason we dont have a cold air intake is because there is no where to run the pipes and filter....is that right?

And no I didnt wreck my Celica!! I just need a more practical vehicle for the harsh Alaskan winters and more room for my son (who will be born in June! biggrin.gif ). So I am trading my celli in for a new Chevy Colorado. The 220hp, 235 ft/lb tq inline 5. It is a very nice truck and im getting a good deal on it. BUT...I will miss the tristies that the celli hugs and the pure fun of driving it. I'll probably get another when time and money permit. So...so long all!

Are the trannies manual or AT?

Are the seats already ready to go into the Celi or do they need work to fit?

what do you mean a little harder? de-badging or smoking?

What did you use to smoke your tails, looks good

smoking...you HAVE to do very light coats or it will look uneven or run. And I used Window tint paint from a hobby store. It is the same stuff they use for rc cars. For debadging I used a blow drier for the heat and a rotary tool with goo gone for getting the glue off.

I just finished Smoking my taillights and debadging my hatch. I just thought that if anybody wanted to know how it looked I posted pics in my profile. It was a little harder than i had expected but I am happy with the results. Enjoy! biggrin.gif

sory for the loss...but if it is not totaled, I would say gut your car and buy another celica. A cheap 94 or something and transplant that engine. There doesn't seem to be that much damage(compared to some of the other celi accidents we have seen on this site). Good Luck!

I just got mine in the mail and put it on...very nice!!

But I have a dilema. My car didn't come with a factory strut bar, so does anyone know what size bolts I need to attach the bar to my fire wall. I didn't want to have to guess if somebody knew the size. It would be VERY helpful. Or if toyota had a part # that would be cool too biggrin.gif

Good job DG!!

its funny how u both walked away w/out injury cuz it seemed like alot of damage on both vehicles...but in my recent accident we hit each other in a parking lot going 5mph causing her to call the ambulace/cops/fire trucks... rolleyes.gif

uhg.....I have been in 3 accidents and all of them were not my fault, and all of them were women drivers, and all of them are trying to claim injuries. I still have a court case right now from an accident that happened in 2001. She is trying to sue me for 100,000 Dollors! And she is the one that ran a stop sign mad.gif ....breath....oh, yea. Sorry and glad your not hurt. Consider your life blessed smile.gif

I am going to try and reupholster my interior...but i have a question. Does anyone know what type of fabric I should use. I don't want vinyl, and leather is to expensive. What type of fabric do actual racing seats have. It has to be somewhat thick and breathable. Any ideas?? confused.gif

This sounds like a neat idea. DJMC, if you find this is really difficult I would love to make one. But yea, it would make more sense to at least zip the files before you send them biggrin.gif Just a thought.

I went to my neighbors junk yard the other day and found a wrecked 96 celica st....so i helped my self to some parts that i needed. I remembered some people that wanted to buy a hatchback cover because theirs was damaged(cutting speaker holes in them confused.gif ) so I took the one from the st. If any body is interested in it pm me with a price.

ps
shipping might be a little expensive due to the fact that I live in Alaska. smile.gif
