well I was driving steadily on the motorway at about 70mph and all of a sudden its like someone is playing with my throttle, I get a sudden drop in power for a split second then the power is back. feels really weird like a kerking feel. Does anyone know what the problem might be or has anyone had the same problem. many thanks |

[QUOTE]the downside of the SS1, SS2 models is they are lower powered than the UK cars... if i was importing it would have to be a GT4 but 2 celicas is enough for now... the ss1, ss2 & ss3 are 177bhp thats about the same as the uk GTs. unless you have the Beams engine. 200bhp I got my 1996 imprt ss2 back in August with 45,000 miles on it and I paid £4000 so I would expect that the car your looking at is a bit over priced. |

ok but did you need to drop it 30mm because it looked too high or was that just a handling improvement mod? |

Im after a set of white wheels for my celica but the ones I want only come in 18" size. Just wondering will these make my ride look like a 4x4 or is the overall diameter the same as the stock ones, I guess the profile of the stock ones are quite alot. I think they are 205/55/R15 and I believe the profile of the 18" ones will be 225/35/R18. Need help as I don't want to mess up the look of it. |

Hi I'm from the UK and I have just bought an jap import 6gc SS-2 or 3. The trouble is the insurance is shed loads and I don't know why. The car I had before it was way quicker and was far cheaper, in fact if I get a UK spec GT4 it is a whooping £200 cheaper to insure, and thats got about 70 bhp more. What is this all about? I'm debating selling it now and getting the 4wd turbo monster. Anyone here from the UK who knows any cheap insurance companies which specialize in imports? cheers andy |

Can anyone tell me the standard size of 6g celica GT wheels and there tire profile. I am going to order some new rims but I don't want the overall diameter to be bigger as it will affect the handling and performance. cheers |

Thanks guys! that really helps. I was just looking on the web and I don't know whether this is right but the UK ones are apparently 160bhp which equates to 0-60 in 8.2sec which isn't bad at all. Although it might be a bit slower from my car I have at the moment which has 172bhp and weighs just over a ton. But that doesn't matter because the Celicas are Japanese which means class and with a Veilside bodykit they are going to turn heads! I can't wait to get one. |

What sort of power and performance does a Standard Celica GT have? What sort of power gains can I get from simple mods? e.g. Chip, exhaust, air filter etc Cheers Andy |

Hello there! I don't have a Celica at the moment but have been loking at the Celica GT. What are they like in terms of performance, handling, comfort and reliablilty? I think they look amzing but I just thought I would check to see the opinions of people who owned one. Cheers |
