Hey everyone, I bought my 1996 Celica GT Convertible 25th Anniversary edition brand new in April of 1996. I have the window sticker and all original documents. I even have a CD that Toyota sent out with music and pics of each generation Celica. The car has spent most of its life in garages at home and work. It is a 5-speed car with all the 25th Anniv options (CD + cassette, power windows, cruise, etc.). I have been very good at servicing the car and have all records; oil changes every 4k or so, and ALL fluids, belts, hoses, plugs, wires, etc. changed AHEAD of schedule. I have just done the timing belt (again) ahead of reccomended mileage. 4 new Potenza tires (less than a month on them) on Central Alloy Wheels. The alloys were put on at purchase, so they have some chips. I also will include the original wheels and hubcaps that came with the car. The car is black (of course) and was repainted a couple years ago. It is a MAACO job, but I think it looks pretty good. No dents. I did have the 25th anniv. stickers that were under the Celica badges on the fenders removed (I think they are tacky). Tan top, with all the top parts serviced a couple years back. Goes up and down fast and even. Only issue; a couple rashes in the top at the usual spots thanks to poor design from Toyo and ASC. Interior is very good; I had some scratches on the rear interior plastic quarters from putting the top boot on and off by myself. I sanded and sprayed them. Boot and boot cover are perfect. Car runs excellent and has never broke down in 9+ years of ownership. I drive gently and am still on the original clutch. I do have a slow, small oil leak that just started a couple weeks ago, and am not sure if it is valve cover, rear main seal, etc. High miles on this car. I drive about 20k / year and the car just passed 175k. I belive that the car runs, looks, and feels like new, however. I am in the Philadelphia area. I am not in a hurry to get rid of my Celica and do have 2 other vehicles. Won't sell for lowball offer (i.e. $2000), but if you come to the table with a reasonable offer I am willing to deal. Pictures are avialble - email me for them. Thanks, Dominic dmacrone@wm.com |

My 96 GT is about to turn 155k and I have not had to replace the original clutch. I drive the car pretty gently - but still, this seems too good to be true. How about you guys - what kind of miles do you get out of your stock clutch? |

Here's the only issue; high miles on this car. I drive about 20k / year and the car just passed 150k. I belive that the car runs, looks, and feels like new, however. I am in the Philadelphia area.
