QUOTE (XCSkierFreak @ May 13, 2008 - 12:03 PM) *
Thanks to everyone who responded.

In retrospect, I think I jumped the gun a little bit. Edmunds seems to be a little stricter with their resale values than the other appraisal sites, so my car could (should/would) fetch more than the few big ticket items I'd probably have success in selling.

Look for my for sale thread.

Very interested in the car as a whole. Please let me know when your selling.

Wow, I'm kind of suprised. I thought someone would jump on this quick. Then again, this is 6gc. No one has a GT hatch they can do without?

Quoted from PM:

Do you have any idea what that would be to 71112?

Via UPS:

packed and shipped 2 rims - $70 or 1 rim - $50

Sounds like a deal. I'll send payment later this week. I don't have internet at home at the moment and my work computer dosen't let me on pay pal. I could mail a check if you want.

QUOTE(Havok1997GT @ May 2, 2008 - 10:52 PM)

you would take a Celica in trade for a supra strait up?

Yes for a number of reasons. I bought the Supra with the intention of it being my project car. The mk3 Supra was my first car (not this one in particular) and I got nostalgic about it and fixing it up. Then I got into motorcycles so that has my interest right now. The Celica is what I learned to drive on (4th gen) and I'm looking to do a 3S swap and I figure I'll start off on a better platform in starting with a GT instead of fabing stuff for my ST (that and still having something to get me around when its raining).

I'm not that picky about what I'm looking for. The only critera I need filled is that it's a Celica (duh) GT hatchback. I would like to have a manual but I can do without. Preferably without a spoiler (I'm liking the slick back look) but not nessesary. I don't care what the condition of the engine is or even if it has one (less for me later).

Up for collateral is a 1988 Toyota Supra N/A manual. 228k miles. Runs well. Sunroof, white. couple supra pics in my profile.

Thanks for stopping by.

I know my car has the gold emblems. I'm pretty sure I can do with out it. I'll look to see if it is in decent shape.

I have no clue what your talking about but I know what your talking about. There is a guy that lives down the street from me and he owns a a 6gc one of these days, I'm just going to leave a piece of paper on his wiper or something seeing if he'll follow it up. Maybe just talking to them at a red light could do the trick.

Yeah pretty much what pressure2 said.

I have an STX also and my father has been working at toyota dealerships for about as long as I'm alive. From what he told me it's a regular ST dealer options put together by Jim Morran owned toyota dealerships. Mine included options like up graded speakers, pinstripe, gold emblems and the BBS wheels.

Malpaso: yeah I've looked into the offset guide before but that applies to having stock fenders.

So lets assume with the offset of these particular rims is 26mm on the dot (who knows). putting the 2.5in flares on would convert to 63.5mm. Are spacers this size available for one or safe?

Ok first thing, I'm looking at the offset guide and taking into account I would have a lowered celi, (most likely the tien 1.4' front and .9'rear); and I'm look at a 17x7 rim seen here.

http://www.sportmaxwheel.com/sportmax_006.shtml (note: I don't know the offset of these. anyone know?)

So I should end up with something around a 26mm offset to clear anything on the inside. I'm going for the "deep dish" look here as you can tell. Now this is the part that throws me off. I'm also looking to install fender flares and mold them in (think 350z style fender buldges). The flares I'm interested in are here

http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/s..._1935_231823025

so what offset either pos or neg should I be looking for to fill out these wheel wells?

Please someone help me out here, I'm racking my brain and can't get my head around it. confused.gif confused.gif confused.gif confused.gif

P.S. please excuse me if this should be posted in "exterior styling" section.

If your talking about your AC condenser (the radiator looking thing infront of the actual engine radiator). I'd like to lay claim on it. I can't make a trip from Louisiana to you. I wouldn't have a problem with the shipping from 71105. Just let me know what shipping is and we'll talk price.

Ok great. Thank you. Please let me know if you find the condenser. It's threatening 100 degrees here in Louisiana and I'm melting in my car. If/when you find it, let me know what the total will be shipped to 71105. Once again thanks alot.

It will stall out if you do not give it gas while having the vac. line disconnetced. You have too keep it up there around 2,500-3k for it not too stall.

Not trying to completely jump off topic on this but that statement made me think about forcing medicine down a pet's throat. "I know its nasty but its good for you" lol ok, my tangent is done.

I haven't looked into it at any great detail but I have the STX option which I was told, I ended up with everything the GT had except the engine/tranny but who knows. <shrug>

I can understand having a bit of difference between the GE and GTE but I'll be going from the 7Afe to 3S-gte so I'll be adding quite a bit of weight. Which reminds me, with all this added weight, should I be looking for front springs that are a bit stiffer to stand up to the added weight?

ok I need the A/C radiator/condensor whatever you want to call it. Its just infront of the engine radiator. I tried to recharge it and I found the little pin hole where someone's tire or something threw a rock and bent up the fins a bit and nailed one of the ribs across. Does anyone think if I JB weld it, that it will hold?

<update> nope, pressure found a new way through the JB

2slow2nervous, what is your definition of "horribly bad" smile.gif

Lagos, correct me if I'm wrong but if a car has certain driving characteristics and your add more HP to it, dosen't it alter the whole "equation" (for lack of a better term)?

Thanks for looking. I'm planning an engine swap to a 3s-gte but I came across an article about the new eclipse. In the article, they were talking about how it has too much horsepower and still being FWD making the car understeer alot. This made me wonder about my celi if I ended up doing this swap and end up with around 250hp, would she end up understeering? Should I be looking into camber kits or something to counter this if its too bad or something. As my car is at this point, all the suspension is still stock.

xquickwitx, ill look to see where the a/c condensor went. (your not talking about the a/c radiator you want the aluminum canister correct?)

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. I'll get back with you when I get under there again but I believe its the radiator.

I am in need of an A/C condensor. Would you happen to have one of those to spare?

Well I have a 97 with the fogs and 5 bar grill. I'm not selling it as of yet but I'll be putting it up here once I get a TRD bumper. Say maybe july or August it might be up for sale. If you can hold out that long look me up then; if not, happy hunting.
