Yes, lets do this! I will pm you my work phone number so we can plan a meet up over this 3 day weekend. I will pay you for your trouble as well.
A big thanks to Nic and the others that messaged me with possible doors. biggrin.gif This forum gave me hope when I was losing it. Big time.

Wow, you guys don't fool around! Let me know the details of the door and I'll plan a road trip this weekend!
I've been as far as the Side pocket/Corner pocket in Kilgore. I used to go hear some local metal bands there.
It would be a great place to meet biggrin.gif

thanks for the quick reply biggrin.gif

Price is great, distance is do-able... can you get me the name or contact info for the yard?
I do need the complete door - window, mirror, inside panel, hopefully electric but either is fine...
Would I have to remove the door myself, I assume? Maybe you could be the middle man and earn some bucks?
We can move this to private messaging if you want... not sure of house rules on this forum.

Let me know, meanwhile hopefully I'll hear from this possible Houston connection.

thanks Jumpiin! I will owe you some beers as well.

Hi guys, it's been awhile since I posted. My beautiful 6g has been flawless since I purchased it used, now 200,000+ miles, but some $#@ backed into my passenger door last month. Crunched it big time! I tried all the area junkyards but cant find a parts car anywhere.

So does anyone in east or central texas have a parts passenger door? Mine is turquoise (my kids call it lesbian green?!) and electric, but at this point I'll buy anything that fits. I'm assuming that shipping would cost too much to buy it from another state, but maybe you guys have a suggestion. I just miss my car and need it back on the road.

Thanks so much for any help!

Kids <jeez!>

Of course us ol' ladies like Celicas ~ they make us feel good! Only unselfish women drive family cars, for the children and their crap. but I'm selfish LOL ~ my husband drives the kids around in a mini-van and I own the Celica! I think I'm 46, but I sure don't feel it in that car. I love it!

But maybe you all are right, I guess I don't know anyone else my age that do the things I do. I go to Ozzfest annually and next week it's Sevendust, Manson, and Staind, and I sort of have a problem with swearing. But life is fun if you know how to use it!

:bump:

A non-celica friend suggested something to do with the timer, as each of the non-functioning lights are supposed to stay on for a short while after the door is closed. Any thoughts there?

Hey don't let the pic (avatar) scare ya'! cwm13.gif That's the album cover of one of my favorite bands!

I'm bumping this post because I need advice for this same problem.

Facts:
My dome light works when switched on manually. (therefore bulb is good).
My dome light does not come on when switched on "door" when the door is opened.
My ignition ring light does not come on when the door is opened.
My other door open indicators are okay, like the door ajar signal and the red lights on the door (therefore the door switch is okay).

I checked a few fuses, with no luck.
Any advice appreciated!

Thanks Octacon. Maybe we posted about the same time, because that's what I had just posted! cwm13.gif

Okay, so if anyone else wants to post their code found on their door sticker as I described above, I will make a chart of the color options and get it on the website.

Hey,
If its the same color as mine, its called turquoise i think. <snip> Its paint # 746, touch up paint is P/N 00258-00746 from your toyota dealer.

Scoobie's right! My car is Turquoise!!!! On the door is a sticker with the model number and other codes, including the color/trim code (C/TR). Mine is 746/FF20, which is Turquoise paint with black-gray fabric interior.

Soooo, if anyone wants to tell me their year/make and color code off that sticker, I can get the official name and accumulate that info for the list. I really want Powells' and Doodie's codes - come on boys, share with me! tongue.gif LOL

Oh, Scoobie, our cars are close, but mine's only an ST.

AH! yes, welcome to the "WTF is the color of my car" club!

WTF club! I like that. I searched the forums (like a good newbie) for everything but that! Well I guess I’m now an official member of the WTF club! LOL

I didn’t realize that color identification was an ongoing problem. cwm13.gif I figured there were links or resouces, like a factory color option chart by year and model or something. You know, interior and exterior options by year. Damn!

Yeah, I like the sound of seafoam green (or blue?). I can’t post a pic yet, but look at Doodies and that is it! Powells looks more blue-gray and Scoobies looks too blue. But like I said, I don’t trust my eyes.

Oh yes I am female. I was going to use the redface.gif smilie, but I didn’t want to be too rude (yet) hee-hee

Thanks for all the responses ...

Hey guys!

After years of being a wannabe, I finally found my Celica. It's a 1994 6G ST, pretty much unmolested. I'm glad I found this site, because I'll probably have lots of questions. And you all seem very nice bowdown.gif

I'd like to know how to describe the color (don't trust my eyes), and I'd like to know the factory name for this original color. It's sorta blue-green or teal or aqua. I've been searching this website, and it looks like Doodiehead's car color.

All input appreciated.
