I don't know who it is that comes on to this forum calling themselves my name but they better watch out because I have gotten back with my boyfriend and we are already beating celicas in both my dual mode auto celica and also in his TTA firebird... I am sorry to hear, firamica, that you totaled a Firebird how did it happen... |

Maybe those ideals would work... honestly fira... I would not listen to these stupid people because they couldn't even help me with my security lock mechanism for the trunk of my car... and they didn't know that toyota put ECT dual mode auto into all celicas from 94-99, so take what you hear them say on a wing and a prayer... I personally will and hopefully soon be getting a Firebird Trans Am ram air equipped car soon... So if I where you I goto LS1.com and see what they have to say about these crappy tail imports. |

My car is still worth about 6000 if I sell it my self and about 3000 if I trade it in... But that is not what makes a Celica ST or whatever great... Its when the owner of the celica st or gt or whatever, says that he/she has something they are proud of... Its not about speed... its not about money... its not about looks... and definitely not about performance in general... ITS ABOUT HOW PROUD OF YOUR CAR ARE YOU AND HOW PROUD ARE YOU IN GENERAL WITH ITS LOOKS, PERFORMANCE, AND OVERALL QUALITY IN GENERAL... That is what truely counts... Not resale value and Not performance... Although Resale value is good to have, but when it comes to a daily driver and all its not all that important... |

My bf dumped me... and now I have meet some new friends and was wondering if You can help me over come the slight attitude problem that my boyfriend sort of instilled on me... My 94 Celica ST is back to stock condition... No kit or what not on it... I am on a budget and am think about putting about 5 or 10 thousand into my car... I want my car to be classy but not where I can't drive it down dirt roads and have fun at the local tracks and all... I have change my signiture... and that basically says what I want in my celica st auto coupe... I love my automatic and think it is fast enough... Since I have one of the rarest celicas that has the dual mode auto in it... Can you help me to make my celica more classy and all, to the extent of how classy and all a vette or Viper or Ferrari or Lambo is... thanks Mica in Celica Mode. |

QUOTE (BlackSTX @ Aug 27, 2003 - 7:01 AM) Yeah, I can barely get my auto ST up to 100 on level ground. I think downhill got it like 105, maybe. I may have been able to go a little faster with the OD off and really pushing it, but I think 110, 115 would have been the very upper limit. with OD off you will not go faster than 100-105 ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Sorry but You are WRONG... did you for get that a 94-95 has 5 horses more, oh sorry mica I did not realize that... and yes my car can do that... Thank you have a nice day... Mica in Devil mode again... One more time and I will retire from CELICA's and wip all celicas okay later |

A Firebird Trans Am and put a supercharger or turbocharge on it... Or a Chevy Camaro and do the same to it... or a Stupid Mustang and do the same to it... Why because at least with them, there is a richness and classy demeanor about them, not like a 6gc that in my honest opinion sucks, okay See yah later... Mica in classy mode... |

My ST has an dual mode auto and it can reach 115 before full cut off with overdrive off and with it on it can get up to 125-128 before the car losses all power and it starts costing to a stop... Why because I was drafting my bf and also because my car engine had let go doing it... |

Yes after all I have done to get me a celica st, I am really disappointed in its performance, but I still like it some what... I use to like its styling, but I guess I have gotten use to it and its not impressive any more... I also liked the fact that it look some what like the supra, but better inside, but that has gotten old... I use to not take chances with it and now I find my self taking chances even when I tell my self not to try to accelerate like mad and not to try to get from point a to point b doing 65 or higher (the roads I travel are traffic city and take a long time to get any where so if you are doing 65 or better you are passing every one and not worring about the cars coming toward you)... Sometimes I can stop my self from doing all that, but I am just really disappointed in it, and some body I know has a mazda protege and he told me if I hated my celica that bad that I should just mod it and see if that gave me some pride in it... well, I have done the detailing work, but when I am outside the car it just seems like any other car, but when I am inside I am a whole different person... But right now, typing this out I think my Celica is just a car... But if I were to run to my local gas station about 10 miles away, I would think of it almost like having everything I want in a car... I don't know how to describe it any more than that... SO IF I DO MODIFY IT, WILL IT BE ABLE TO MEET MY DESIRES AND SOME OF THE NEEDS AS WELL... Thanks Yal... Mica |

That is a lot of BS... you should know by know that I have a boyfriend driving a Turbocharged Trans AM and you should know that with the turbo he has a little under, about 1-9, horses under his uncle's vette... His uncle likes to go racing on road courses around here, when they have practice and amateur events... I have even went up against him and his uncle at one event and... D*** I ran right there with his uncle until his uncle's engine broke a few of its push-rods... in the end though my boyfriends TTA out ran me so on the last lap which was an all out no holds bars A** of a Job to do on that course... AND there were planty of imports there and in the end MY boyfriend and ME and A '96 Camaro SS finished in that order first and The other 7 generation Celicas and base Camaros and Mustangs, all lost... And even my moms Viper had its engine let go... SO KNOW WHAT, if you don't believe me, let me know your number so my boyfriend can tell you... The only reason probably that I won was because my uncle had replace some of the stuff on my car with lighter weight stuff like the hood that he painted to look like the rest of the car... and the rims and tires... and a few other minor items like radiator and air condensor... and also because I have been driving my auto for long enough that I know what its limits are and I can push the car to my limits and it laughs and says that this is it, you don't have any thing else... My mom also has an manual 5 generation st and it is so slow that I could smoke it through the quarter by abou 10 car links and that around here with our weather, equats to about 3 sec advantage... |

You shut the F*** up because you don't even know how to spell... Dumb A** A celica st with its "power mode on" can smoke even a Z28 or TTA (and since you don't know my BF, you should know that a TTA is a Turbocharge Trans AM) I have beat then finally by only adding a cat-back and carbon fiber hood and rims and tires to my car. Now, to let you in on something, I hope you don't think that we broke the speed limit in any way and I hope you know that we did not do it on a straight long road that has no turns in it for 10 miles. BUT We did it on a small narrow road, about 5 miles long with only one straight that is about 6/10s of a mile. So shut the F*** up you F**L |

No LIGER ZERO isn't trying to talk fancy, he means it... I have an automatic and it is dual mode as well... All it is... is that when you are cruising and not trying to show out or rev beyond 4 grand you are in economy mode, When you are wanting to just through the celica through the twisties then you are probably revving above 4 grand and the torque converter and transmission adjust themselves to shift faster and at higher RPMS. I can take my celica st up to about 6 grand plus a few quarters and that is when the rev limiter kicks in and the car shifts. So watch what yal say about autos, because not all celica's (definitely not all st or gt's in america) have the dual mode auto though... |

Just wondering because toyota is famous for reliability... My aunt had an 1987 toyota MR2 not modified and it lasted for 320,000miles before she traded in on another car and it probably would still be on the road today because all it need was a tune up and check some gaskets... Thanks |

Hay this is a post on a totally different form that I posted but I got my super white 2 to look as shiny as a Torch Red Corvette looks with a good wash job and a good wax job. So here it is: Well, me and my friends use Meguiar's 3 stage polish and you DO NOT have any swirl marks or what not with this. It takes about 4 hours but it is worth it because you can drive the car every day and wash it at the end of every week and about the 6 to 8 time you wash it is when you can tell the car is starting to get dull again. The process is like this after washing and drying the car: 1)apply the paint cleaner about a good 30mins. 2)remove the paint cleaner without trying to buff or shine any thing about a good 20mins. 3)apply the polish about another good 30mins. 4)remove polish about a good 30mins. * make sure not to have any polish left on car. 5)buff the car with the orbital buffer. about a good 30 mins to 45 mins. 6)apply carnauba wax about a 30 min process. 7)Buff and remove wax with the orbital buffer. about a good 45 to 60 mins. FOR BEST RESULTS also use Meguiar's Gold Class Car Polish 8)apply the car polish which helps to increase the protection and shine of the car. about a 30min process. *don't touch anything black (trim or other wise) because you ain't getting it back to the color if you don't remember to buff that area too (very pain staking process) 9)remove with orbital buffer and buff to desired shine. about another 30 min process. Once you have done that once, from then on you only need to do that once every other month but it usually only takes about 2 to 3 hours from then on. I have used meguiar's and so has my boyfriend and my friends and his. We have the best looking cars around these parts. |

Sorry, but you may have plenty of replies... but the 2nd car with the red out tails and the circles around them. I like it, but it isn't celica, Its like trying to make a celica something its not. So like alot of people your options suck. But that would be the best choice in my opinion if you where going for it. |
