Yah because I didn't let my car rev pass 3 thousand and he was redlining... In the end though... That was my best friend and I didn't want to make him look bad... But remind people that they may have problems if they have to get their engines inspect for emission and other little things that on a stock car you don't have to worry about... OKAY LATER AND I WANT BE BACK ANY TIME SOON SO GOOD BYE FOR EVER OR AT LEAST FOR NOW... FIRA... |

I live in north carolina and if you import an engine from any other state or country (especially another country) you have to contend with emissions and other B.S. from government inspections people... I was going to get the supercharged 4A-GZE engine but I don't want to go through all of that to get it... SO after some people wrecked my Celica ST, I decide to get me a 2001 Camaro V8. And now I have had the oportunity to race a 2003 Celica GTS... I won and I have to admit it I have an auto going against a 6 speed and still won even thou my car is like 700 or more pounds heavier, GO FIGURE!! I just wanted to say that in some states you have to contend with the government inspection polices and some people don't want that... Thanks later yal... |

I would leave them on because if you live down or drive down a dirt path they come in handy... I had brought some cheap tail contour splash guards for my car... They are pretty good especially since I had a white car... But the only draw back I find is that when you pick up a rock or something on the road you can hear it hitting inside the wheel well... Hello, I can hide myself... remember I don't want to be place in the active members block... Oh... Yah... Listen my name is Nik, I am a boy... to be exact I turned 18 so I am a man... And no... I haven't brought a trans am... But my car has been in an accident... I was in the hospital for a few days... According by what people told me the brakes had locked and all but the car in front of me had jammed and I didn't react quick enough even though I wasn't tailgating... The airbags exploded and The front end was Crippled and the engine block is cracked and all... But I can't afford to get a new engine until I pay the doctor and hospital bills and boy, I don't remember any thing except 2 days ago... when everyone was telling me this... But I may try to get the 3sgte but my repair bill for all the damage on the car is over 7000... So that will have to wait... The insurance company has totalled the car, but I haven't seen how it looks yet... But then too, I was wanting to get a liftback of something... So I may get me a 7gc or get me a domestic too... Because my domestic friends could stop in time due to abs and all... So I am gunning for a 7gc but I don't know if I can find a good used one that I can afford... |

I was just wondering if they was a difference in paint quality because I found a 94 celica gt with the same white color I got on my car (94 celica st). Grant it my car is a coupe and his is a liftback, but we had wash and shined our cars together (not at a local car wash but in a mutual friends yard)... We used the same products and all but his car shined better than mine and if I had buffed mine any farther it would be swirl mark city... We took the same (almost) amount of time, so how could his be any different... |

Hay well I had some one appraise mine today... And I could had want to KBB.com and looked up it price for my car and take 1,000 from it and that would be what he offered as a retail price... In other words, the trade in price is about 4000 well the price he was telling me I could easily get for it was 3200... so go figure... |

Yes I do... But hay... When your mom is the person that gives you the money, You have to do what pleases both you and her... And she doesn't want me to have a job until I am out of college and all so... THIS IS MY LIMIT AND I MAY CAN STRETCH IT HIGHER OVER TIME... |

You are getting them sort of cheap but not alot about 300 dollars cheap, but then build quality is aroused in my mind... Because I don't know if they are cast or forge and if they are forge then you are getting some used or cheaply built rims, heck he may be lying to you and they aren't really forge rims. If they are cast then you should watch out for bumps in the road... |

Well it won't be able to compete with the supercars but I want it to compete in the visual appeal first... Then maybe I can talk my mom into letting me do an engine swap... I want to start off with low cost things first... I am thinking about getting me some seat covers or seat cushions... A person told me that racing seats aren't practical for a daily driver... And then I may get the pedals... Then get me the dash kit and Then get me a CD changer... then I probably get me some rims and tires (I don't like the low and small look of 17 and 18s, since I am going to be driving on pot hole city roads I think 15s are good enough...)... But I don't know where to go from there... I want to keep the resonator on my car because I like the quiet cruising and silent idling but I just want a tad amount of show... Some people told me that a muffler tip about 3 inches with fiberglass packed resonator (however you say it) was the thing I need... But I want a MagnaFlow Muffler Twin Tips and they said that that was going to be loud... Well are they right... and how do you think my project is going to do...? |

okay lets say that I have decided to go the looks department first... I want to make my car look better, but I don't want the super low z-glide kit (around here I have to do to much driving over speed bumps and steep driveways) but I want to make it more aggressive... So how can I do that... Then I am probably going to go the engine swap if I can save up enough money and find someone to swap my engine that I feel knows what they are doing (because you can't take it to the dealership right?)... I am probably going to get a 3sgte, 3sge, or (an ugly) 4agze... What do yal think?... |

you do have a point ANDASON but I was in her shoes when I was 16 and 17 and she just don't realizes it... I have choice to keep my Celica ST auto Super White Coupe and I will probably do a few inexpensive mods first and then go all out and get a kit and all then I may do an engine swap if the car is still around... |

I am not supermica... The reason I call my self firamica is because my first car was a white firebird and my second one was originally a Greenish Metallic color celica that some one had painted that color and I had my local bodyshop (throton's body shop) repaint my car a white color in memory of my firebird that I totalled when I was 17... I am now only just turning 18... But he need a front bumper to paint also because that green colored front bumper had been broken, a cut about 8 inches long went right down the center of the front bumper of my car... We may live close to each other, but where I live no one else has a celica... Only 5gc are around here and they number about 10-15 some look almost totalled... And I am the only one with a 6gc and I have to admit it, it is strange and scary the way people look at my celica... |

No i get where she is coming from because around here where I live you have something when it can compete in the looks department of those types of cars... So stop bashing her... |

Just wondering because I like the throttle response and ease of driving a supercharge car than a turbocharge car... I have some friends that have supercharged V8s and I was wanting to get them to gather and have them help me bolt up the supercharger kit to my car if their is one... My local Custom shop... said that they don't make turbos or superchargers that can go on my car... and he adviced me to sell my celica st auto and get a firebird formula or trans am and mod it... Thanks... |

That is why I also label the V8s down too, because a few of my friends and all have made their cars have more power than a vette without having to change rods and pistons etc... so Which of these cars should I get or should I keep my Celica ST auto... |

I have a 94 Celica ST auto coupe super white with 101K on it and racking up about 300 miles a week... I am thinking about customizing it but when I looked over this site there is not a whole lot I can do to it to make the car better overall (performance, looks, and overall enjoyment...). So should I keep this car or should I try and get one of these cars...: - Pontiac Firebird base - Firebird Formula - Firebird Trans Am WS6 ram air package - Camaro Base - Camaro z28 - Camaro SS Why did I choose those car... because I want a car that is fast and fun to drive... I want the power and looks of a VETTE! and the Celica ST auto base can't give me that and neither can the celica st auto customized. So what do yal think...? |

Why do people keep saying in this thread not to put money into a celica? I am new here so I was just wondering... because it don't make sense to me... other than that my celica st auto 94 can get beat by most anything... |
