I was just wondering if anyone knows how to adjust the emergency brake cable or adjust the drum pads in order to minimize the e-brake handle travel. I've looked in the Haynes manual and I can't seem to find where it says how to adjust the cable or how many clicks it takes to lock all the way. Any information would be helpful. Thanks. smile.gif

QUOTE
(Coomer@Oct 28, 2004 - 10:29 PM) My idea is to save that thousand dollars, prep the car yourself, and buy a nice compressor, nice gun, good paint, and the necessary other stuff to paint a car, and then do it yourself. I'd much rather do that than have Maaco paint my car.

there is a good site to go to that would give you plenty of good pointers, ideas, and techniques on how to paint your own car. www.autobody101.com
it is a forum with plenty of experts and old guys who know what they are talking about. this is if you want to do it yourself of course.

i seem to have lost my passenger-side rubber headlight housing. i don't know the correct term for it, which might explain why i'm having such trouble finding the part. anyway, its the weatherstriping around the headlight is what im missing. i was wondering if someone knew where to get a set.

whenever i take my gas can off to fill my car up with gas, i always notice a hissing sound when i screw it off. like its under pressure. i didn't really think anything of it until it was brought up by a friend who said the same thing happens to him. he said that he thinks its unusual and is bad for the car, since the fuel pump is having to deal with the pressure in the tank, consequently reducing gas mileage. i was just wondering if he was right or if it is just nothing to worry about. thanks. biggrin.gif

i was skimming through the forums and saw a topic on converting US spec celicas to all wheel drive using the all-trac drivetrain. i read that the possibility of the conversion working was slim to none. i thought it would be easier to convert it to rear wheel drive using the old jdm corolla(AE86) drivetrain. i was wondering if this was more feasible than all wheel drive.
