that new distributor you put in, did it have all new internals? if not you might want to replace the condenser inside the dist. under the cap. it's the little firecracker looking part inside the cap. will only cost you about $3-$4. if not that, make sure there aren't any frayed or pinched wires along the ignition sysytem.

well, i think it would knock all the time. not just when the boot falls off the plug. let us know something when you find out, good luck.

no, with a timing light. check your manual to see what degree your time should be set on, i don't remember right now what it should be i think like 10 degrees. check that first, if you don't know how take it somewhere and have them do it. do you have a 5sfe or 7a?

are you sure the timing is right on? was the engine shaking at all before the wire jumped off the plug? i found that the wires sometimes don't fit the plugs as they should, so they aren't making good contact and slip off. thus causing it to arch. if the time is set, try matching the wires with a plug that has a real snug fit in the boot.

basically, i'm totally remodeling my house and my car is parked. tires and wheels removed and in storage. i just don't want these to go to waste. 215-45-17 toyo proxes T1-S (100 miles on them) with 17x7.5 eagle alloys. both are still like new, with caps and steel enkei style valves. view them on my profile. these will be some of the best tires you will ever run, cut thru water with ease, and get great grip on the road. got nothing but compliments on the rims. already balanced and ready to install!
i'm letting go with $800. which is alot less than i paid after shipping, lugs, and tax. i'll even throw in brand new lugs. damn good deal.

i'm a toyo guy, i run the proxes t-1S. they're the best by far. alot of tires out there are awesome, but why are you going to pay extremely high for a name. yes, the t-1s is a bit pricey, but not like the bfg's with equal performance. when i hit a puddle at or around 80, my steering wheel doesn't throw a fit. i could have run any tire out there (i sell them) but i thought long and hard, because it is expensive and i am a poor boy.toyo proxes t-1s, look into it.

i run eibach with stock struts. smooth ride and pretty sharp turns. i would suggest you replace your stock struts, strut mount, and get your car aligned also. that will guarantee a smoth ride. what size tires/rims are you going to ride?

it's easy to do, really. yes i do this regularly at work, we charge $35 ea strut. i did mine in about an hour. you need a strut compressor to collapse the spring a bit. then unbolt the mount from the piston. but be careful when releasing the spring, i've known guys that have gotten a face full of spring. ouch.

doggy, i feel for you man. a few days ago i posted that i had drawn up an original sketch for this kit. i do need help posting it, but got no reply. that's cool, i just thought i'd share the stuff i had in my head. i literally had this front end drawn about 3 yrs ago, and was kinda psyched about maybe getting it produced. or even just to have ya'll evaluate.
don't get discouraged, i was really surprised when i saw your design, it's kinda like mine. if you haven't guessed by now, i too am an artist. i've had really good pieces criticized, stolen, and even destroyed. it kills you inside, unless you are an artist, you wouldn't understand. so, maybe we shouldn't be so critical.
doggy, do what you do. just don't forget that some on here really do appreciate your effort. peace.....

hey guys i saw this thread a few days ago, pretty cool. i will be needing a new front peice too, and, i do have a drawing of an original design. i drew it up kinda quickly, so i don't have the exact specs yet.
i will need some help on posting it in this thread, so if anyone can help i'd really appreciate it. it would be wise NOT to rush this kind of thing, so if you want to see what i've got on paper then decide to take the next step, great. yes, it is original and i think alot of you will like it.

i did know alot if not everything about my celica before i learned about this site from my cousin dansst. but i did learn more about all celicas because of this site. i'm in the middle of my 3sgte swap right now, which i probably would not have began if it wasn't for this site. it is obvious that this site has done wonders for everyone here, so we should all be more thoughtful and greatful towards others seeing as how the people are what make this thing go. i totally respect Coomer and his dedication to this site, he slaves for all of us. and i don't think he goes to bed at night after reading the insults/bashing/degrating comments and thinks " damn i'm really glad i put all my time and effort towards creating a place for inconsiderate, self-absorbed jerks to express their rude and insulting thoughts and attitudes. yes!" do you?

i'm not picking on anyone in particular, but let me explain something.
i've not posted a few times when i wanted because of the attitude around the topic at the time. i'm not afriad to argue, but that isn't what this site is about, i respect Coomers' wishes, so i say nothing. i also have not posted any picks of me and my G/F because of the disrespect towards girls. she is very beautiful and cute, so i do get the occassional " damn, that's your chic?" or "she's awesome" which i don't mind too much, comes with the territory. but the leg humping would really piss me off. so i just avoid it. by the way, i hope loriann does stay on board, she could really give the site some credibility, nationally.
the OT forum has it's purpose, it makes me laugh sometimes, but it does get out of hand. warning system needs to be used more frequently. i also hope spedtoe stays, i'm actually going to put 7th gen brake setup on my 6cg because of his testament. this is a little long, and trust me i could go on but you get the point.
Coomer- do as you wish, i'll still be here........R-03.
