Need a passenger side headrest that is in good shape... Color needs to be the black cloth... Somehow mine basically broke down and a large steel bar can be felt very easily through it and I do not want anybody to get hurt that rides in my car... A reasonable price would be appreciated, I'm definitely up to offers? Would be shipping to 32779, thanks guys!

I always like checking to see if anybody has had similar problems before taking the car to a shop...

When driving, right around 3k the engine does not lose power but makes a rpm based drone/whirring noise that is pretty loud when accelerating quickly. The noise is coming from somewhere on the passenger side of the engine bay.

Sometimes in 1st gear around 2-3k I hear the same noise off and on too... The car is running smooth but the noise is strange and sounds like some toyota's version of vtec kicking in when im going 40mph or so and accelerate quickly...

The car is loud with exhaust and short ram and the sound can still be heard over the engine revving in that range.

Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!

yea 35 in front and 15 in back would look good... 35% isnt too dark, especially for in the back, so I wouldnt use ALL 35. 15% all around would look good too wink.gif You can post more questions like these in the exterior section

yeah, im getting tired of how flimsy they sound.

I would recommend Alpine components to anybody (i love my Type R's). Which model of alpine speakers do you have?! Also you may want to run a 4 channel amp to alpine door speakers... they probably would not sound too good being ran by the headunit or stock amp

come on dude...its an 80$ header.
you think its NOT crap?
i'd be willing to bet a properly designed and produced header for either gt/st would perform alot better than these shiney noise makers all the kids buy.
thing is none of these same kids would pay for a properly designed header.
lol

Not all the "kids" on the site have money to buy top parts for their economic 6gc or go through a 5sfte set-up then switch to 3sgte and be able to have resources left over. The part may be low quality but those who are buying them seem to like them for the money and options available. Personally, I give smaay credit for wanting to customize and offer turbo kits/ headers/ awd set-ups and more for this 6gc community at reasonable prices.

I haven't had time to check anything in the door panel, but I tested it today because the weather has been getting warmer and it went up and down, but around halfway up, there's a slight grinding sound. But it actually goes up and down again lol

The cable is probably fraying and it will work for prob another 3-6 months but after that it will lock up and the cable will be about done. Thats what happened with mine, I'm finally just about to replace it in time for spring!

not in the USA lmao you want to hide from the cops as much as you can. the brighter and more noticable of a car you have, the more it will attract the cops attention lol it sucks, but i love sleek cars anyway

Ive been pulled over for mine not being visible/bright enough from like 50 ft away is the law i think... total bs in florida ....

DZ, did you get these off ebay? do you have a link? i need to replace mine as one is blown out and mine arent bright at all

^ He has a Neewsan.

I use 87 at whichever gas station I happen to stop at.

You are pretty retarded if you think that's a Nissan in his sig... Back on topic, I have ran 89 in the celica since it was new.

everything looks good..... not too sure about the nitro 4 channel amp and blitz audio components... sound quality would be a lot better and much clearer with another brand of components/amp with all that bass from the kicker 12's ... thanks for the write up though, nice project

something about a daughter with a learners permit and rims/custom paint/drop/body kit/ rare side skirts just doesnt mix IMO... I would atleast rethink lowering it... curbs can do a lot of damage to a show car wink.gif nice work though, looking forward to seeing progress as it gets revived!

I'm probably going to try to do that to see if it wobbles (especially since it coming from drivers side rear wheel) but the car still drives like its on rails with the coilovers and I have been driving it daily.

thanks again for the opinion... I hope its nothing too serious but the noise has been getting on my nerves. When rolling straight the noise is noticeable but not too bad, but if i turn the wheel at low speeds, thats when the bad vibration/noise starts from the back.

Hey guys... just got a new job so I havent been on the forums much... and of course the celica is an ongoing process to keep running right.

Anyway, I have noticed a noise from the rear suspension (wheels) that is especially noticeable at lower speeds around 5-10 mph and gets worse when i have the wheel turned and am making a u-turn for example. I hear something turning in a circular motion and it makes a slight vibration too... Just trying to know what to expect at the shop so they don't push me around either... Thanks for the help, I've noticed a lot of posts about wheel bearings making noise and what not... this sound is only in the rear.

Well after some time has passed, and other problems have been worked out with the celica... I am in need of a driver side power window regulator... shipping will be to 32779... Got a few responses a couple months back, but bigger problems engine wise came up and I was forced to put this on hold...
