I used to have an Rx7.... original engine lasted 180,000km.... then blew an apex seal. alot of fun to drive the 93-96 rx7's are plagued with electrical problems. It will cost you more then the car is worth to fix |

QUOTE(mrgrape @ Nov 5, 2007 - 8:32 PM) uhhh wtf how did it break????? i took my car up for the first time on a lift and my teacher said i had 2 broke cv boots wtfffff what do i do cv boots break down with age. You can replace with a split boot or a 1 peice boot. Split boots are hard to find and dont last as long as the 1 peice, but they are much easier to replace. I installed a split boot when i bought the car and it lasted 100,000 km before it broke. factory boot lasted ~100,000 km. Found the last 2 split boots in my area and replaced both sides. so far so good. 20,000 km and counting |

QUOTE(jussten @ Oct 25, 2007 - 5:27 PM) Hey Guys I've been trying to get my car through emissions but have had issues. Initially I failed all 3 pollutants tests. I had a check engine light 27 so I had the 2nd O2 sensor replaced. I also replaced a few other minor things (pcv valve, air filter, oil, ect). After this my check engine light still wouldn't go away but now when I test its just a constant blink. I took it to emissions anyways and passed HC and CO easily but I failed NOX by way more than the first testing. First testing - 2.76 (passing is 2.0) 2nd testing - 4.91 Any Idea why it would be HIGHER now? and what the issue could be, wouldnt the EGR valve show up on the check engine testing if thats what it is. Also any suggestions on the check engine light? I reset it by pulling the 15 amp efi fuse, then tried disconnecting the batery for a good 15 min. Is there anything else i could do? NOx is usually higher due to engine timing, EGR valve or bad cataytic converter |

in the last few weeks i have noticed that as i come to a stop I have to put the pedal to the floor before the clutch fully disengages... the transmission shutters until i put the pedal right to the floor. it isn't consistent though. Don't have to put it the floor to change gears though, still shifts great. Could it be the clutch or the master cylinder? |

I was on a road trip from Vancouver to South Dakota 2 weeks ago. I spotted a Girl driving Red Celica on July 14th. Followed it on the I5 for a while till it took the off ramp at the Gorge amphitheater. I took a picture, but my wife deleted it due to the lack of space on our 1 gig card.... |

how the hell do you drive after your car flipped 3 times? there is no way it wouldnt have hit the ground at that speed. Your car would have blown apart at 130 mph. what a BS story |

cars are always more expensive in Canada. alot of dealerships are buying cars from the states and selling them up here at canadian prices. Also depends on where in Canada. the west coast is the most expensive. |

QUOTE(wind @ Jan 29, 2007 - 11:24 PM) You can adjust them at the rear through the access hole on the discs I think the adjuster at the disk should be backed off 8 clicks from being in the locked position. On the rear disk there is a rubber grommet that you need to pull off. inside that hole is a toothed adjuster. You can adjust it by using a screw driver. adjustment is up or down. release the e-brake and adjust the rear adjuster it till the wheel locks. then back it off 8 clicks. You will need to do that on both sides. if that doesnt work then the pads need to be replaced. Make an investment in a manual.... saves alot of time Read the other part here... this is the 2nd way of adjusting your e-brake. If someone had replaced the discs, but didnt engage the e-brake pads properly you wont get alot of grab. once you make that adjustment you need to re-seat the pads by driving 50km/h and slowly applying the ebrake till you stop. after that you should be good to go. I dont have pics.... but you will see what im talking about when you take the wheel off. take a peak inside the hole and find the adjuster, its tough to find at first. I meant a car manual.... not a transmission I doubt you will need pads unless the previous owner drove with the e-brake on. |
