I had to cut my 92-95 civic intake to make room to put the filter on the end. That was before I got the stuff to make the cold air. One reason I like celicas is because they dont make alot of parts and you have to customize. Some look at customizing as a difficult task. The satisfaction that comes from making something for your car that improves it is a very good feeling. |

Go with custom piping, universal muffler and high flow cat. you get good increase in flow as with Greddy system but not as good a sound. it wont cost as much though. The Greddy will have a nice deep sound, custom will be more loud and might even pop or crackle when shifting at high rpms. I have custom and am very satisfied with the sound and performance. And happy about the money I saved |

My intake is one of a kind. I came up on different pipes from different cars. The piece coming from throttle boby(92-??) civic. had to be cut shorter. middle piece-(second piece to an AEM cold air intake of 02 civic;wouldn't fit on friends car do to auto trans). Had to cut in several places. lower piece-same as trottle body piece. it was fun but frustrating. lots of measuring cutting and sanding rough edges. |

I will probably do that next Im actually waiting for my header to get here. Ordered it off of nopi.com. I have a friend that works at toyota dealer, trd short shifter costs close to $200. He could probably get it for me for less(around $150), how much was yours and from where did you get it? |

Get the swap because if you turbo the 7A-FE you will have to rebuild your motor top to bottom with stronger parts unless you want to throw a rod. |

I hear ya! My friend in my car club has A $600 dollar DC Sports exshaust and a AEM intake on his 02 civic EX. I have Custom intake witch costed roughly $40 to make and a custom 2 1/4 inch exshaust that was $114 to get welded on and my car is outragously faster. Of course while I play 2 fast 2 furious he can watch it on his flip screen T.V. |

It depends how you look at it. If you have the money and could get it done right, sure it's more than worth it. But on the other hand there is always the posibility of running into problems, because its the wrong motor in the car. Also, stick with the celica. Yea Supras are cool too but they are very expesive and the insurance on them is sky high. Besides think of the joy that would come from running a 12.9 sec. 1/4 mile time in a 6th gen turbo celica. Our cars are way under rated. Its time for us to come up and show them hondas what were made of. I have this friend at work with a 93 mazda mx-6. His car has a 2.0, about 120hp stock maybe. I have an ST. Yea I got some stuff on it but he thought his car was bad so I had to show him whats up. We raced down a back street behind the car dealership where I work and I spanked his A*$. It felt good as hell. I can't tell you if its worth it, only you can decide that. It probably wont be easy....or cheap....but when its all said and done you will have one tight celica!!! |
