What I was told by the previous owner of my 94 ST was the seals and combustion chamber wear out so I believe it might be burning it. I've had mine for a month and don't notice it yet. But if its burning you should see it from the exhaust.

Well we might be on the slow side but at least we know if doing any upgrades is worth it or if we should just stick with appearance. I personally like the smoothness, reliability, and mileage of the car.

I guess I just still wanna see what the car and each trim can do. Just for info. I especially want to see some 3sgte runs.

Crap I posted in the wrong forum again. biggrin.gif Thanx for the move.

Hey '94 GT owner, just wondering what gas rating you guys use. I've been using 87 and I think it's causing my engine to knock, so should I drive it untill its empty and start using 91?

It's not causing your engine to knock. Probably the ignition system. All the higher octane does in helping this condition is it has a better detonation. Like the other peeps said you should get it tuned first to make sure. Higher octane is better but not needed. Unless you feel it makes your car faster. rolleyes.gif

You don't need any higher octane than what your manufacturer recommendations are. It doesn't increase performance or takes better care of your car.

DO NOT USE SUNTHETIC FLUID!!!!! Its totally worthelss and I don't know why it is even sold. Probably just because people just assume that its better because its 'synthetic' and buy it, I can see me doing that. But its not better!

I don't have a lot of experience with ABS systems as I've never owned a car with one and I've only worked on them a few times. If you have a toyota shop manual its definitely correct. I'd just follow the instructions in that case.

But synthetic has a higher boiling point. Why is it useless? Brake lines get hot and the fluid has a certain temperature range. Once it exceeds that it becomes less consistent.

How muck are those speed bleeders? I'm gonna put valvoline synthetic brake fluid on mine. Is that blue stuff synthetic? I don't think that it matters if your car has abs or not. Pumping the pedal will still flush out the fluid. Not sure though.

Even with a turbo or s/c you can still mess up your engine. If you go past the recommended settings for how your motor is built. Actually driving your car hard all the time can do it too. Nitrous isn't the culprit. It's how its used.

Nica clean car man. It looks like Celicas can go 18's with the size of the fender well. Either that or drop 2.25". Did you have to change your shocks?

Anyone got these with 17's? Wondering how low and how much clearance there is between rim and fender.

My mistake, 94. Anyways I already bought it.

Need to clean out entire engine compartment. Inside and body looks pretty good for the year. Got it for 3500. Is that too much?

Is it worth getting? it has 144k miles, body's in fair shape, bald tires, needs alignment and power steering is acting up. Anyone's feedback appreciated.
