Well theres a good posibilty that your knock sensor is alive and working and you are actually getting detonation. Having an mr2t I know all about it. Can't you check the code and see what its saying?

So what should I do?????????????????????????????????????????????????

I don't think it's the knock sensor alone. Knock sensors usually don't cause very bad retardation of the timing (from my experience at least)... which would cause a car to limp. Usually, the car will slightly ping if there's a faulty knock sensor... but who knows what exactly. If you're getting knock sensor codes... replace the sensor, reset the ecu, and see if that'll fix anything.

When I was playing on the internet the other day someone said try putting the best gas in with a additive. So thats what I did. What I was told is there might be a improper mix of air and fuel causing this, and the sensor is fine. So I am going to run her today and see what happens. I am also going to take my intake off and check all the tubes to see if anything is clogged. I also just replaced my PVC and Im wondering if they gave me the wrong one?

If I need a new sensor, does anyone have a good place to buy them?????

I've been wanting to route my exhaust to come out of the side of the car on both sides. Like the opening would be inbetween the rear wheel well and the door where the side skirts are. I've talked to my mechanic and all about it but I'm still researching if it's even possible.

Anything is possible........Just need a welder, and hope your car does not sit to close to the ground so you dont bottom out your pipes.

I thought about doing my pipes out where the licence sits, having 2 pipes 4", comming out of the trunk. But my buddy talked me out of it.

I like the bullet fenders with the vents. When I do my body kit, it will all match.

Tru_Pol I think you should go 1st for new rims and also lower tyres:) and later for the body kit

That might be the plan, just takes $$$$

You can try it, but If your not experienced with bodywork or fiberglassing I do not suggest it unless you have a spare bumper...

This bumper has damage to it already so I dont have alot to lose!

Has anyone ever tried to cut a stock bumper and bend it to look finished. I love the GT4 bumper and Im thinking of cutting up my bumper and bending it to look like that. I was thinking of using a heat gun to do the bends, 2 ton epoxy and custom build brackets to hold my bends?
What do you guys think? Any ideas????

By the way, I ordered my Z3 fenders yesterday! Cant wait to get them it!

Good luck....I've been looking for one for about 2 months.  I've given up and Im just going to get z3's for 195 shipped.  Everyone I've talked to wanted 165.00 just for the drivers side.

Jason

$165 is not bad for a mint condition drivers fender, especially since they are hard to find because most wrecks usually happen in the front and on the drivers side.

What color are your cars?

Black.....
If your interested I would be willing to sell it for 165.00! I could strip it and prime it, all you need to do is paint it.

For $30.00 Im in......Tim, I looked in to a club called team GMCI and they offered everything you just said and it was 75.00 a year then you had to attended 75% of there meeting or they would kick you out, and depending on what class you wanted you had to pay a one time fee for that( show was 125) and all you got was a t-shirt.
The only good thing about that club was the sponsors!

Would this club have sponsors? Maybe cyberbestbuy.com, where we would get huge discounts if we put there sticker on our cars?

I'd be willing to give the club props whats my shop opens 100%!

I've been thinking of joining a club but there are none in St. Louis. I'd be down, show me where to sign, and give me the price, and I'm in!

I have a friend that is looking to do a engine swap from a 90 celica to a different Toyota car. The engine in the car now is a 4cyl, 1.4 litter, and the celica engine is a 4cyl, 1.5 litter. Does anyone know someone in the missouri, or illinois (around St. Louis) that might be able to do this. We took it to one guy and he said 500.00 bucks then came back and said it cannot be done becouse the engine is a different litter size. I belive it can be done just all electronices have to be put in.

Let me know if someone wants the job or knows someone local that can do it.
